Here is what our employers say:

“Having Sheridan co-op students in our studio gives us our artists a chance to identify and work with an emerging talent. It hones our skills at spotting talent and it gives the student a perspective on the demands of a production environment. We relish the opportunity to provide mentorship and training to these artists. It’s incredibly rewarding for us. It’s positively thrilling to view an amazing graduate film and discover that it was created by a former Guru co-op student! It proves to us that our guidance and our sensibilities were a positive match for the artist and we are happy to see them inspired by their experiences at Guru. Very often we look to hire our co-op students because we have built such a strong relationship with them and they have come to understand how we aim to entertain audiences with our art and storytelling.

It’s a great program and I encourage students to make it part of their learning experience at Sheridan.” - Frank Faclone, President & Creative Director, Guru Studio

“We find internships incredibly important. They are not just a further expansion on the skill-sets of the next generation of artists, but it is also an opportunity for involvement within the animation community as a whole. A student’s in-studio experience is imperative in producing quality, world-calibre talent. That talent, in turn, helps to strengthen the future of our industry.” - Morghan Fortier, Executive Producer, Tinman Creative Studios

Here is what our employers say (cont.):

“Little Tugboat hired two Sheridan College Animation Co-op students to work on “The Adventures of Napkin Man!” Each student quickly became a valuable member of our team – creative, keen, punctual and positive with exceptional knowledge of the necessary software! What more could we ask for! The interviewing process to find the right students for the positions was equally seamless – great working with the students and the Advisors!” - Marlene Schmidt, Line Producer, Little Tugboat

“Sheridan students have a strong work ethic and the skills we are looking for. In fact most of the interns we hire every summer at the studio are fully engaged and working in production within the first week. From the start of the program at Sheridan the students are building a solid skill base, animation fundamentals are at the core of the program but at the same time the level of technical expertise the Sheridan students bring to the workplace is unmatched. Sheridan students support and contribution to our productions is significant. Summers are busy and is the time when many of our artists take vacation, every year we have come to rely on their work to keep our productions on track. At the same time they get exposed to our high level productions and build advanced skills, is a partnership where we all win, most of them return to our studio for full time jobs once they graduate.” - Angelica Lopez, Studio Manager, Pipeline Studios
