Regional Greek authorities have declared a state of emergency in the eastern and western parts of greater Athens, and the EU Civil Protection Mechanism has been activated to request for aerial and ground firefighting assets. The present map shows the fire delineation in the area of Geraneia Mountain (Greece). The thematic layer has been derived from post-event satellite image using a semi-automatic approach.
