WILDLIFE AND NATURE OF THE RIVER
PISUERGA
I.E.S ARCA REALVALLADOLID (SPAIN)
COMENIUS PROJECT“WATER, EVERY DROP COUNTS”
STUDYING PLANTSOur students have
studied the nature of the river Pisuerga.
To do that, they have followed 3 steps.
STEP 1: PLANT COLLECTIONRules for a good collection.
A) Never collect a plant when you can see fewer than 6 individuals in the area
B) Collect only tipycal specimens
C) Collect in duplicate
Step 2: IdentificationPlants identifications
required an identification book from our geographic area.
We have used one that includes ilustrations. It makes easier to recognise plants.
Step 3: Pressing and drying. The objective of the plant press is to platten and
evenly dry the plan specimen so that may best be mounted and preserved while still retaining its morphological charecters.
