Even the most expensive ordinary coolers can’t take the punishment dished out by the average outdoorsman, let alone the pros. That’s why we make YETI® Premium Coolers.

Rotational-molded construction makes a YETI® virtually indestructibleOrdinary coolers are injection and/or blow-molded. These processes are relatively inexpensive, high-volume manufacturing methods commonly used for everyday products like soda bottles.

On the other hand, YETI® Coolers are rotational-molded (roto-molded), like whitewater kayaks, to ensure impact resistance and long-term durability. This process is more costly, but the end result is a cooler with a superior durability advan-tage. Once you handle a YETI®, you’ll notice the big di�erence.

YETI® lid latches are the same latches used on ATVsIf you have an ATV, you’ll recognize the heavy- duty, rubber T-latches on a YETI®. They’re built to withstand a pounding and they’ll last for years. And, since the latch keepers are molded into the body, they will never break.

One-piece, seamless construction provides long lasting durability.Inner and outer shells of ordinary coolers are glued together and the seams separate over time. Both the lid and body of a YETI® are one-piece and have no seams to fail.

YETI®’s full-length, integrated hinge system will not fail The �rst thing to go on most coolers is the lid hinge. Whether it’s a door-style hinge or a molded plastic hinge, it is prone to fail. The lid hinge on a YETI® is molded right into the cooler. A full-length aluminum rod connects and holds the body and lid together. And, hinge-stops are molded into the lid, so the hinge can’t hyper-extend and break.

are made from marine-grade nylonrope with a textured rubber grip. There’s no slippery plastic to hold onto while transfer-ring to a boat or a truck. Attachment points are integrated into the cooler body.

Screw-in, gasketed drain plug is leak-proof and rugged Broken or leaky drain plugs are another common problem with ordinary coolers. YETI’s gasketed drain plug is leak-proof and designed to drain when partially open without having to fully remove the plug. The cooler �oor is channeled and recessed near the drain plug opening so you can drain every last drop.

YETI® Coolers are built to take the rugged abuse that comes with the way we work and play. Unlike ordinary coolers, which are essentially “disposable”, a YETI® is made to last!

The YETI® Tundra is certi�ed bear-proof by the Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee (IGBC)! YETI® Tundra meets the USDA’s Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee (IGBC) standards for bear-resistant containers. They have been thoroughly tested in both controlled bear simulations and with wild grizzly bears. With locks in the integrated padlock ports on two corners of a YETI®, grizzlies get nothing but frustrated.

t YETI®, we set out to design a cooler that does what a cooler is supposed to do – keep things cold! Thicker walls, more insulation and a full-frame gasket translate into dramatically superior ice retention.

Thicker cooler walls mean more cold-containing insulation The walls in our best-selling YETI® Tundra are two inches thick and �lled with premium polyurethane insulation for maximum ice retention. You’ll typically �nd just ½ inch of insulation in ordinary “dispos-able” coolers and maybe an inch in the more expensive models. The bottom line is that insulation thickness correlates to ice retention and YETI® is second to none!

We put even more insulation in our lids Because a cooler lid is subjected to the heat of direct sunlight, we opted to put three inches of premium insulation in the lids of all YETI® Tundra Coolers. That’s 50% more insulation than in the cooler walls! We �nd it utterly amazing that some cooler manufac-turers put absolutely no insulation in their lids. That’s like insulating the walls of a home, but not the attic.

YETI® Coolers don’t just close, they seal! Unlike ordinary coolers, YETI® Coolers feature a full-frame, freezer-quality gasket that seals around the entire lid to minimize air exchange. This seal, combined with ample insulation, assures you of maximum, long-term ice retention.

Keeping things cold is what a cooler is all about. With thicker walls, more than twice the insulation and a full-frame gasket, YETI® out-performs the competition-it’s not even close!

1. Pre-cool your cooler – Starting with a warm cooler consumes a lot of ice in order to cool the heavily insulated walls.2. Use quality ice – Ice can get much colder than its freezing point. Warm ice, that is ice near 32°F, is typically wet to the touch and dripping with water, thus will not last very long. Cold, sub-zero ice is relatively dry and will last substantially longer.3. Freeze or pre-chill contents – Prior to loading, freezing or pre-chilling cooler contents like meat or beverages will help your ice last longer.

Tips To Maximize Ice Retention 4. More ice, the better - We recommend �lling your cooler with as much ice as possible. Ideally you want to have an ice to contents ratio of at least 2:1. 5. Use dry ice – Unlike ordinary coolers which become brittle and crack, it is safe to use dry ice with a YETI®.
