o How baseball relates to Math concepts.

o Applying basic math to calculate baseball statistics.

o Analyze statistics and interpret data.

Looking at Baseball Statistics

o Identify and order whole numbers and decimals

o Examine baseball statistics

o Students build a Fantasy team based on batting and pitching statistics.

Batting Average

o Understand that fractions represent parts of a whole.

o Students practice setting up averages in the form of fractions.

o Convert fractions to decimals and round decimal numbers.

o Track player success rate.

Fantasy Baseball

o Apply what they have learned about statistics.
