The project team worked with ecologists and botanists to develop a restoration plan that includes a diverse mix of native plants to help stabilize the river banks, provide habitat for desirable native wildlife, and serve as a natural barrier between the Lakewood neighborhood and the landfill. The mix of plants that will be used in each of the habitat restoration zones across the site is listed below. The cleanup work at the Willow Boulevard/A-Site Landfill Operable Unit includes an extensive replanting and habitat restoration and enhancementprogram.
