After serving in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1980-1985 Mike Angle took his A&P (airframe and power plant) mechanic training and went to work for United Airlines for 17 years doing the same great work for

them. He went on from there to another company and worked as a facility manager, where he oversaw 15 employees.

“That’s where I got my experience and courage to run my own business,” said Angle. “When you learn how to manage people that’s half the battle.”

After wife Karen got a pay cut at her accounting job, the two decided to take the leap and buy their own business. “We chose to open a Window Genie franchise and serve Hendricks County, Camby, Mooresville, Greenwood and the South Indianapolis areas. Our three main services are window cleaning, window tinting and pressure washing, but we even clean chandeliers,” said Angle.

Window Genie services primar-ily residential customers, as well as small offices and commercial spaces.

Angle is leveraging leadership skills earned from his military service with the Window Genie franchise system that was lauded in 2014 by Money Magazine, Entrepreneur Magazine, Inc. Magazine and a host of other media for its franchi-see growth success.

“This company is known for its veteran-friendliness,” shared Angle. “Lots of other franchisees are veterans and with this format you share tips and obstacles with each other and corporate, so we don’t feel alone in this at all.”

The Angles opened their Window Genie franchise in 2011. After nearly four years of business, the couple can now safely say that their choice was the right one to make; the most exciting moment is yet to come.

This June son Joseph will join the company after serving for eight years in the Marines just like Dad. “Clearly my wife and I couldn’t be more excited. We have a booming business, a great accountant handling the books and now our son is coming in to learn it all and take it over some day. In the next five years with him, we definitely expect to grow. The best is yet to come.”
