How big should the VM be?

Disk File

9January 2010

Although the size of your VM can be proportional to the size of the hard drive that it is on, we will make ours 40 GB in order to install Windows 7 and some select applications.

Do not select the “Allocate all disk space now” check box. This is used if you want to dedicate the entire Disk size to the VM immediately.

Click Finish.

It is best to store the disk(s) in the same folder as the VM.
