Wing Chun International
Seminar
Wing Chun International seminar on 19th and 20th of March was the best weekend in 2016.
On Saturday Master Andrew Cameron introduced students to Dan Chi Sau Programme and how to deal with hoodie and hair grabs. The main concept was learning to overrun the attacker and get them down to the ground. TG students had a time to practice Biu Tze applications. On Sunday we were learning the right timing for sweeps. It was great fun and lots of throwing, sweeping and falling. Master Andrew Cameron showed us the blueprint of drill training and made Wing Chun System simple and understandable for everyone.
Next seminar will be on 24th and 25th of September. For those who wish to attend these days, put them in your diary now!

appropriate uniform.

black WCI trousers and
white WCI T-shirt. Grades
12+ should wear Black

Attendance
For you to progress at a
steady pace, we would
like to see you in your
classes a minimum 2x
per week. If that is not
possible, please allocate
a time when you can
practice your form,
shapes and foot work at
home or book an
invaluable Private lesson
with your instructor.
Our schools provide their
students with attendance
cards to help you and
instructor track your
progression. Please
make sure, you arrive 15
minutes before the class
and take your time to fill
in your card.
If you are not able to
make the session on
time, let your instructor
know by text or call.

Adults Grading
Every 2 month Wing Chun International students are graded. Grading week and regional grading day is there for your instructor to look at your progression. This week is also for you to find out what you are good at and what needs to be improved.

Little Dragons Grading
Partner Training
This Rotation Little Dragons learned Partner Train-ing.
Little Dragon curriculum has got 4 modules : Kick Boxing, Partner Training, Flight Training and Self Defence. Phase 1 students are learning the movements of each module, Phase 2 students are practicing preciseness and power and Phase 3 students are learning to perform in front of the public– learning forms by heart. That helps to train children with progressive learning method and motivates the higher belts to perform better and help other students to learn.
Junior Warrior
Phase 1 Grading
Partner Training
Junior Warriors Grading expectations are higher than Little Dragons. Your child will be asked to perform The Partner Form as a solo movement, pad work and working with other students. It is important for instructor to see clear difference between Little Dragon performance and Junior Warrior performance. Junior Warriors will be asked to explain Words of the Week and 3rd tip stripe will be awarded to everyone who has passed the test before new belt is given.

Uniform
Little Dragon Uniform is a
green WCI T-shirt and a
black WCI Kung Fu suit, the
Junior Warrior uniform is a
blue WCI T-shirt and black
WCI Kung Fu suit. It is im-
portant that your child wears
comfortable trainers as
heavy footwear might hurt
their feet during exercises
and cause injuries to train-
ing partners. The Kung Fu
suit is needed as your
child’s reward badges go on
them. You can buy your
uniform from your instructor
or the WCI Website

Weapons
Weapon training is de-
signed for those children
who want to achieve their
Black Belt. As we now have
many part time schools
around the UK our focus on
this part of your child’s train-
ing will develop. Firstly as a
parent please check with
your child’s instructor if your
child is on the Black Belt
course. This means, your
child should attend classes
twice a week so the instruc-
tor can allocate 15 minutes
in each lesson for their
weapon training. This is last
month children will learn
nunchaku.
Please order Escrima
sticks in advance from
your instructor or from
