The external envelope of any building is one of the
most important and expensive elements of the
construction of modern buildings and can represent a
significant contingent risk to existing building owners
and new purchasers. A condition report is a significant
consideration in the value of a building and any potential
liability thereafter in the context of invest decisions.
Aquisition inspections, condition and due diligence surveys providing
information that allows Clients and Professional Teams to make informed
decisions on future maintenance and replacement of the facade.
Diagnostic reports, defects investigations and fault finding surveys that
allow an accurate understanding to be formed and decisions made on the
most appropriate route to facade correction once the magnitude of the
defect has been established.
Consultancy, site testing and design departments all employ fully
qualified, highly competent engineers who have a grounded appreciation
for issues blighting a facade at any stage throughout its life; from
conception to decommissioning.
Intrusive surveys include plant and the labour needed to make-good any
evidence of intrusion recognising that Clients need to be able to operate
their buildings with the minimum disruption.
Double Glazed Unit life expectancy predictions, endoscope surveys and
glass coating analysis are just some of the diagnostic methods employed in
the evaluation of buildings, providing the Client with appropriate analytical
data in support of any reports.
Specialist rope access inspections on tall or limited access buildings can
be provided, using our own M.Sc. qualified consultants abseiling to parts
of buildings normally considered inaccessible.

There is no substitute for practical design based experience
supported by proper academic qualifications to underpin
facade services.
Wintech façade consultants are qualified with the majority having
a Masters Degree in Façade Engineering (University of Bath)
and are members of the Society of Façade Engineers, affiliated
to CIBSE, IStructE and RIBA. Previous industry experience gives
further appreciation for the factors that influence performance
and life expectancy of existing buildings.
Wintech have a proven track-record in diagnosis survey and
design of remediation schemes on major international projects
throughout the world.
Wintech offer a warranty backed design for any consequential
‘nuts and bolts’ remediation scheme adopted following a
consultancy survey. Site monitoring of remedial schemes ensures
the construction is completed to an appropriate standard by the
relevant subcontractor.
