An Art Center favorite! Keep your child creative and inspired during school breaks at our arts & craft camps. Students will work with a variety of materials, trying their hand at clay, painting, drawing & crafts.

...for children: We have revamped and revitalized our parties this fall. KAC now offers several different packages allowing you to choose your project, decorations and party theme. You can add on special touches such as hand-made invitations and thank-you cards. Other options include pinatas and themed party hats and costumes as well as stuffed animals, t-shirts or giant cards for your guests to sign, commemorating your child’s special day. KAC’s creative and unique goody bags are sure to be ap-preciated!

...for teens: For teens we offer a variety of party pack-ages. Options include hammered letter jewelry, clay silver, beading, painting and pottery. Add on options include henna, t-shirts, flip-flop decorating, make-up, nail art & more. Age appropriate take-away gifts for your guests such as beading kits, mani/pedi kits and art sets are also available.

...for adults: Our art parties for adults have be-come increasingly popular over the past couple of years! Sharing the experience of learning something new makes for a fun, memorable evening! Some of our adult party choices are Pinot & Paint, Mud & Merlot, Beading & Bubbly and From-age and Fused Glass. You are also free to choose your own party topic and we will provide the instructor and materials. Host a meet-up, sur-prise your co-workers, or just come with a group of your favorite friends.

Silly Scientists (ages 3-5) This STEAM class is perfect for the child that wants to know how things work! After designing their own lab coats, our little scientists get to work! From mini-volcanoes, soap bubble painting, rain-bow slime and more, kids will love this messy and fun class. Creative Sewing for Kids (grades 3-5) Students learn basic construction techniques using both hand and machine sewing. Using these skills, we will make tote bags, stuffed animals, holiday projects, simple wearable items and more. Fashion Mash-Up (grades 3-5) Take that old pair of jeans, ripped jacket, stained t-shirt and create something fab-ulous and new using a variety of skills and embellishments. Family Sewing & Knitting Come and learn to knit and sew, hobbies that will bring enjoyment for years to come. In this class we will be learning to sew by hand as well on machine. Students also have the option of learning learn the basics of crocheting and knitting, making a variety of projects such as flower headbands and scarves. Jewelry-Making (grades 3-5) Learn the basics of beading, wire art and polymer clay bead-making while creating beautiful jewelry for yourself, family and friends. Family Dollhouse (all ages) In this class each family will construct a dollhouse from a dollhouse kit with the help of a KAC instructor. When our house is built we will choose paints, design wallpaper and make floor cover-ings, making each house unique. Clay for Kids Grades 1 & 2 Stu-dents will learn basic clay techniques through a variety of projects such as cups, bowls, bird-baths, masks and more. Stone Sculpture (grades 4 & up) In this class kids will get an intro-duction to the ancient art of carving stone. Students will learn different meth-ods of carving, from old to new. Sculpture & More Explore the world of 3D art. In this class we will cover basic and complex sculpture techniques. We will explore kinetic sculpture, such as bobble heads, mobiles and vehicles with moving parts, as well at static sculpture. Students will be encouraged to push the limits of their creativity and imaginations. Make a Horror Film (ages 9 & up) Together we will write and shoot our own (not-too-scary) “horror movie” to share with the world on YouTube! This class will cover screenwriting, storyboarding, shooting, acting for the camera and editing on iMovie. Take your filmmaking skills to the next level.

Flash Animation (grades 3-5) Make your own animated cartoon! In this class students will learn the basics of Flash Anima-tion to bring characters, designs and drawings to life. Stop-Motion Animation (ages 6-10) Love Wallace & Gromit? Then this is the class for you! Design your own characters from clay and/or found objects and bring them to life using Stop Motion Animation. Anime (Intermediate) In this class students will use Adobe Flash, learn-ing to do frame by frame animation. Drawing on Wacom tablets, students will create their own characters and learn to animate them. Students taking this class should have an understanding of digital art and some experience draw-ing Manga.Sat 5:15pm - 7:15pm 22 class hrs / $462 DJ Osborn 11wks.

Manga (grades 6+) Learn the distinctive style of Japanese cartooning called Manga used in Anime films. In this class students will learn to draw the stylized face, wardrobe and body types typical of Manga. This class will also cover perspective, background design, special effect techniques and body lan-guage as well as the history of Manga and Anime. Furries Anonymous (grades 5+) Welcome to Furries Anonymous, here we teach students to get in touch with their wild side. Learn to draw animalistic characters, mostly recognized in popular Disney or 3D animated cartoons. Artists will practice and learn how to structure and make animal proportions while also applying them to a human body to create an anthropomorphic feel and possibly make their own “Fursona” as many other artists do in the furry community.Thu 4:30pm - 6pm 18 class hrs / $528 DJ Osborn 12wks.

Cartooning & Drawing for Teens In this advanced car-tooning class, students will focus on improving drawing skills and exploring their individual talents. They will learn about the work of several famous artists and illustrators. Drawings will be from our imaginations as well as from life. Manga Photoshop, see page 20

Make a Zine! The zine is an inexpensive self published collaboration between art and writing which is customarily created by physically cutting and gluing text and images together onto a master flat to be photocopied and turned into a book. The concept of a zine began in the 1920s and gained pop-ularity with the punk subculture of the ‘70s when zines were used to promote music. Find your voice and create your own zine in this interesting creative class! Wed 6:30pm - 8:30pm 20 class hrs / $480 Keith Yerger 10wks.

Drawing & Painting for Grades 6-12 Our goal in this course is to give students a strong foundation in painting and drawing. Students will choose their own subject and medium, learning tech-niques, composition and color theory. Students may also experiment with mixed media. Teaching is done on an individual basis within the group setting, allowing students to work at their own level. Drawing & Painting for High Schoolers In this class high school students will paint from the subject and medium matter of their choice. Instruction is done on individual basis.
