August 17, 1938 - April 26, 2010 Eddie Roussell of La Pine, Oregon died April 26, 2010 in Partners In Care Hospice House, Bend, Oregon. Eddie was born on August 17,
1938 to Sister Elizabeth and Pastor Joseph Roussell, Sr. He leaves his wife, Lou Pearl Roussell; his father, Joseph Roussell Sr.; his sister, Ethel Brown; his brother, Joseph Roussell Jr.; his daughters, Brenda and Valeria; and his grandchildren. A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at the La Pine Seventh Day Adventist Church, 51330 Anchor Way, La Pine, Oregon. Baird Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

LA PINE COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTERAL GUGENBERGER, CEOThe attractive medical building on the northeast corner of Huntington and First Street has served La Pine’s medical needs since it was built in the mid ‘90s. Seven years ago, Chance Steffey began serving as CEO of La Pine Community Clinic which transitioned to La Pine Community Health Center. It was established as a 501(c)3 organization in June 2009. Now Chance Steffey has decided to make a change and is pursuing his education in Environmental Engineering with a special focus on developing countries. He and Dr. Steffey will be moving their family to Boulder, Colorado. Al Gugenberger has been selected, and began serving, as the new CEO for La Pine Community Health Center in March 2010. Al served in the Air Force in the Medical Services Corps as a Health Services Administrator. He has been a CEO of a community health center since 1988. He graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Management and he earned his Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Northern Colorado. Al is looking for ways to get involved in the La Pine community. He served on a City Council in Arizona for six years, as well as the City Planning and Zoning for an additional six years. He served on the Chamber Board of Directors for six years and was the fi rst Vice President for two years. He has also been a Rotary Member. The Tackle BoxDuring the season, we find ourselves using several different
lures, and I find that at times the change over is a great deal of time spent with my line out of the water.
One little secret I have grown to love is the quick snap I tie onto the line which acts as a way to easily and quickly change from lure to lure. If I want to use a bait that a swivel works better with, then the snap is an easy way to add a swivel to as well, and you don’t have to re-tie or break the line to change over.
There are several different brands, and I have no favorites when it comes to that, but just that the item is a real asset to my tackle box, as they do come in different sizes for the weight of line you are using or the fish you are fishing for.
