Letter from Bishop Vasquez Bishop Vasquez has written us a letter informing us of wonderful news in the world of vaccines. The letter explains the Church’s mis-sion to support scientific advancement that upholds the dignity of the human person and the precious gift of human life. Copies of the letter are available at the church entrances. The letter is also on the website at www.stmaryscaldwell.com. Pastoral Note Although returning at last, I am still in transition as I continue therapy on the left knee. Progress continues as I thank you more than can be said here in words, while your prayers, meal offerings, cards, and volunteer drivers have sustained me to get stronger by the week. Throughout September, beginning September 2nd, Wednesday Mass will be at 10:30am. On September 9th and each Wednesday, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will follow Mass with Benediction at 12:15pm. The original 8:00am Mass should return in October. Condolences Ester Revilla Rodriguez, wife of Noe Rodriguez, and mother of Joe Puente and Freddy Rodriguez, passed away on September 7, 2020. As a parish we share the pain of the loss of Ester with her family. May God grant eternal happiness to Ester and comfort to her family. Mass Attendance Information St. Mary’s and Holy Rosary will follow the state mandated guideline that requires persons 10 years of age and older that enter the parish to wear a face mask. We will also continue to keep 6 feet of distance between families. Mass attendance will still be limited to 25% capacity. Livestream Masses will be on Sundays at 8:00 am on the Holy Rosary Facebook Page and 10:00 am on the St. Mary’s Facebook Page. Attention Hospitality Teams All Hospitality Team Members must request that all parishioners, as they enter the building, put on a mask for Mass. There are masks available on the table for those that do not have one. This is a mandate from the State of Texas and we must adhere to it. Thank you for your assistance in this matter. We are united in Christ and will get through this together. Spiritual Communion “Jesus, truly present in the Most Blessed Sacrament, I love You above all things and I desire to possess You within my soul. Since I am unable at this moment to receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as being already there and unite myself wholly to you. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.” -St. Alphonsus Ligouri
