Known issuesFollowing are the known issues in IBM Hyper-Scale Manager version 5.1, alongwith possible solutions or workarounds (if available).

Ticket ID Description

PUI-10355 A system in the Hyper-Scale Manager inventory isn't displayed when an incorrecttimezone is defined on that specific system.

Workaround: Configure a valid time zone on the system using the timezone_set CLIcommand. A list of valid time zones can be retrieved using the timezone_listcommand.

PUI-10093 Three-way mirroring is not supported.

Workaround: No workaround is currently available.

PUI-9903 Creating a mirror fails because the source Volume has a "last replicated" Snapshotfrom a previously created mirroring relation.

Workaround: Delete the last replicated snapshot.

PUI-9866 Can't delete a Domain that once had an asynchronous mirror because the schedulerstill exists.

Workaround: Use the domain_detach_object CLI command to detach the schedulefrom the Domain and delete the Domain.

PUI-9429 There is no upgrade path from IBM Hyper-Scale Manager version 4.x to version 5.x.See the IBM Hyper-Scale Manager version 5.1 User Guide (SC27-8560-03) for informationon how to migrate your existing systems inventory from version 4.x to the newlyinstalled IBM Hyper-Scale Manager.

Workaround: No workaround is currently available.

PUI-9034 Adding a mirrored Volume to a mirrored Consistency Group won't work if the remotesystem is not monitored, since the RPO and schedule of the remote mirroredConsistency Group are unavailable.

PUI-8963 Changing the RPO for a mirror whose Volumes reside in different Domains fails.

PUI-8907 When you change the RPO for an asynchronous mirror, the interval is updated onlyon the source system if the destination system is not monitored.

PUI-8861 When mirroring multiple Volumes, the remote System field is marked as "Notmonitored".

Workaround: No workaround is currently available.

PUI-8858 Creating a mirror in mass configuration fails when the Volumes aren't in the sameDomain.

PUI-8840 If the login user is not defined on the destination system when you Create Mirror, thedestination Domain/Pool fields are empty.

Workaround: Define the login user on both the source and destination systems.

Page 15: with IBM Corp....V ersion 5.0 (April 2016) V ersion 5.0 of IBM Hyper -Scale Manager intr oduced a brand new user interface (UI) fr om which one or mor e supported IBM storage systems

Ticket ID Description

PUI-8834 A system error is displayed during Create Mirror when the Volume belongs to aDomain but the target does not.

Workaround: No workaround is currently available.

PUI-8808 When Capacity statistics data is collected over a 3-day interval (the minimum numberof days for collecting data for Capacity graphs), the graphs with the forecast are notshown.

Workaround: No workaround is currently available.

PUI-8750 The last data point on the Capacity statistics forecast graph is greater than theSystem's physical size.

Workaround: No workaround is currently available.

PUI-8735 The Capacity statistics interval between the first date of the historical data displayedand the last date of the forecast data displayed is not accurate.

Workaround: No workaround is currently available.

PUI-8592 When you select Last Month as the Range on a Capacity statistics graph, the first dayof the month is not displayed on the x-axis.

Workaround: The tooltip for this day displays the correct data.

PUI-8560 The Host and LUN dialog box in the Volume Mapping form does not close whenyou click on the "x".

Workaround: Select Cluster in the capsule before clicking Create Mapping.

PUI-8455 The Change Role and Switch Role mirroring actions are not available in massconfigurations.

Workaround: No workaround is currently available.

PUI-7609 The System status alert panel does not update its status from Unprotected-Rebuilding,but remains Unprotected.
