PARISH MISSION STATEMENT: We, the Eucharistic Community of St. Joan of Arc Parish, by the grace of God and through our participation in His Word, the Church’s sacraments, and prayer, seek our eternal salvation.
We live out the doctrines and traditions of our Faith in communion with the holy, catholic, and apostolic Church, established by Our Lord Jesus Christ.
With courage, we follow the example of our patron saint and invoke her intercession as we strive to know God, love God, and serve God which moves us to actively promote and live the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the midst of our every day life.

Prayer for Labor Day
God, in your goodness,
you have made a home for the worker.
Make a place in our hearts
for compassion to the men and women
who labor tirelessly for basic necessities.
Be with us all, Christ Jesus,
as we go about the business of our work.
May we continue to work together
to bring about your reign!
We ask this in your holy name,
through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.

As the Lord is kind and merciful, so should we be forgiving toward one another. Our forgiveness is to be without limit and so reflect on Christ’s eternal love. He alone is Lord.

YOUTH NE WS
ADULT FAITH
L T (H S ) This Week: No Life Teen Next Week: “Dignified” We begin our semester with a series on how to explore taking care of our whole self: body, mind, and soul. As the pandemic has taken its toll on our mental, physical, and spiritual health, we want to gather to a safe place to speak of not only our joys but our sorrows, as well. We will meet in the parish social hall from 6:15-7:30 pm. ***Life Teen will continue to meet in person in the back field outside of the youth room (behind the school) or if the weather is inclement or due to lack of daylight, we will meet in the parish social hall. Safety protocols will be followed. Everyone will be required to wear a mask and practice a safe physical distance. We ask teens who have been around anyone with Covid-19 or if you have any symptoms to stay home and check in with your family physician. Also, if you have recently traveled outside of the Hershey area we ask you stay home for at least a two week quarantine period. While we want to continue to minister to the teens, we also most importantly want to keep everyone safe. Thank you for understanding. ***

REP R S 13 After our long pause REP will resume on Sunday September 13. There will be many changes to our program as we resume classes.
All CDC, State and Diocesan guidelines will be in place for admittance to classes and our education center has designed a cleaning program to keep St. Joan of Arc facilities as safe as possible.
As we reopen 1st and 2nd grade will have weekly sessions as they prepare for First Holy Communion. Classes will be offered on Sunday mornings and Wednesday afternoons. This preparation is best in in-person classes. In our current situation, we respect parents’ concerns and will be flexible in how you wish to have your children grow in their understanding of our faith.
The biggest change to our program will affect how we approach instruction of our 3rd to 6th grade students. We will be following a family learning model. This will allow us to have only 1 in-person class for students and parents per month. Classes will meet on Sunday morning only. Again, parent concerns will be respected as we present our faith to this age group.
Our Confirmation preparation classes will resume on Sunday September 26 at 6:30 pm.
All classes will be at the Sandhill Campus.

ROAD TO KINDNESS First, we want to keep all of those that were exposed to the recent hurricanes and storms in our prayers. As much as summer can be a beautiful time, the storms are a bleak reminder that the weather can bring difficulties and challenges to so many families. Please keep all those impacted in your prayers! We want to wish everyone a Happy Labor Day and weekend! As we celebrate Labor Day, it is a special time to be with family and friends. A wonderful act of Kindness over this last holiday of the summer is to share time with someone that might be alone. Invite them over to join you or bring some food over to them. You can bring so much happiness into a person’s life just by letting them know you are thinking about them and care! We wish everyone in our parish community the very best of Labor Days!
DAY OF REMEMBRANCE On Saturday, September 12, pro-life Americans throughout the country will gather at memorial sites for the National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children.
