What is Changing and Why
● Valley Gives is switching our web platform from Kimbia to GiveGab.
○ GiveGab purchased Kimbia in January 2018. CFWM took the opportunity to upgrade changing
from Kimbia to GiveGab.
● What Changes?
○ Valley Gives 2018, the programmatic piece - prizes, etc is staying the same.
○ Only the website Valley Gives uses (a giving day platform) is changing.
● Is this good? YES! We are excited because it will provide a better user
experience for organizations and donors.
What is Valley Gives Gaining by the Switch?
● Enhanced Profile Customization - more robust editing
● More Flexibility For Videos and Photos
● More Than One Email Account Per Organization
● No Deadline for Updating Profiles
● Opportunities for Multi-Matching Gifts
● Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Option

What do I have left to complete on my profile?
You will want to add your story, causes, attest to state fundraising
compliance, ACH banking information, donation levels, a thank you message,

Accessing Your Account
Accessing Your Account
Your email address for logging
in is the SAME.
You will receive an email with a
temporary password for the
first time you log in. You’ll then
be prompted to create your
own password.
Kimbia had a static registration form;GiveGab has a workflow via dashboard.
In order to update your profile information or to complete information that GiveGab does not have, you’ll have to walk through various parts of the dashboard. The dashboard provides the workflow and ensures all your necessary information is completed.

How Your Organization Gets Its Money
With Kimbia, donors made donations that technically went to the Kimbia
Foundation. By June 15, your organization would have received a check from the
Kimbia Foundation.
With GiveGab, your organization will provide its own bank routing
information. In this case, all donations are made directly to your
organization within 24-48 hours.
● To do this, we will also need the name of your organization
representative, along with their birthday, and last 4-digits of their
SSN.
* If your organization cannot provide bank routing information, please contact Michael DeChiara at CFWM
to discuss special circumstance.
Add Bank Account Info
Add Donation Levels
You can set your own suggested
giving levels. Each level can be
customized:
● Unique Descriptions
● Optional Photos
● Unlimited Giving Levels
Strategy: Create Meaning for Donors
or Highlight Impact

Add a ‘Thank You’ Message
● Write your own custom thank
you message
● Add your own photo or video
● Sent immediately to your donor’s
email when they make a gift
● Comes directly from your
organization’s contact
Peer Fundraising is BACK!
The Community Foundation heard from many organizations about their interest in
using Peer Fundraising for Valley Gives. We heard you!
GiveGab has robust capability for supporting Peer Fundraising.
Why Peer Fundraise?
Your organization has direct contact with certain people but whether you email list
is large or small, it is a limited universe of people you already know. Peer
fundraising lets you ask your most supportive folks to take another step that
doesn’t require making a bigger donation. What they do is reach out to their
personal and professional networks on your behalf to raise money for your
organization on Valley Gives. They raise money from their peers.
Note: unlike in 2016 when Valley Gives used peer fundraising with Razoo, all the money raised by your
Peer Fundraising team will flow to your organization and count toward prizes.

Sharing Your Organization’s URL
When doing outreach for Valley Gives for your organization, you want to share
your Valley Gives profile page. There are two options for your organization:
● GiveGab URL will be: valley-gives.org/organization/[your-org-name-here]
● Kimbia URL is still good to share. It will automatically send donor to the
GiveGab URL. So if you’ve printed postcards or shared the Kimbia URL, it will
still work.
Additional Administrators
How many administrators can I have on my page?
As many as you’d like! Add administrators through your dashboard! New
administrators will receive an email notification with login instructions.
Add Matching Challenges
Your organization can have multiple matches
There is greater control on how you set up a match
(AKA Matching Grants)
