Prejudice Style Guide, in which we are

eager to present to you our exciting online

campaign built around the tranquil shores of

the Mediterranean. Our 2013 Spring Summer

collection has hit our independent retailers and

online stores across the globe, so it’s off with the

wool overcoats and on with the lighter, brighter

unconstructed fabrics that constitute our

latest collection.

This indispensable top pocket summer social

guide will dress you, quench your thirst and

send you off on a warm summer holiday along

the winding southern European coast. With

the summer holidays swiftly approaching, we

undo our shirt top buttons and celebrate what

inspired our latest menswear collection through

a wonderful selection of cocktail recipes,

Mediterranean destinations, and feel

good tunes.

May soon turns to June, and increasingly our minds and mouses hover over that

destination that we have dreamed about over the past six months. We can’t

wait any longer, so here is a list of our fantasized and romanticized get-away

locations across the Mediterranean coast.

CADAQUES, SPAINThis beautiful Spanish town that sits comfortably close to the French

border makes for the perfect location for a relaxing weekend full of

sea-food dinners and refreshing dips in the sea. [EXPLORE]

TAORMINA, ITALYThe Italian setting of Taormina greets its visitors with a magical

atmosphere illustrated by its sweeping bays and dramatic views,

enchanted by a beautiful Greek amphitheater that sits atop the

DUBROVNIK, CROATIAThe incredible fortified old city of Dubrovnik is unquestionably one

of the world’s most beautiful towns, surrounded by the luscious

Mediterranean; it boasts an amazing selection of restaurants and

AEOLIEN ISLANDS, ITALYThis gorgeous collection of Islands surrounded by cool translucent

When I think Mediterranean, golden sun-

kissed beaches come to mind, surrounded by

dreamy seascapes, dotted with ancient ruins.

It’s little wonder that when augustus founded

the Roman Empire, the Mediterranean Sea

began to be called Mare nostrum by the

Romans, literally: “Our Sea”.

The history of the Mediterranean region

is crucial to understanding the origins and

development of many modern societies. It

was an important route for merchants and

travelers of ancient times, allowing for trade

and cultural exchange. Most importantly

though, it was the inspiration for the Without

Prejudice Spring/Summer ‘13 collection. as

you can imagine, researching the area was a

tough gig.

This year’s line is cut from Italian fabric that’s

light yet durable. The shirts are of the lighter

pastel colours that are proving popular this

season, moving away from the louder garish

hues that can sometimes be found cluttering

the nightspots along the French and

Italian Riviera’s.

I’m a classic kind of guy. So the paisley and

pin dot patterns in the suits are a sober but

distinguished choice for the Brit abroad. as

a writer who travels light, the Social suit is my

go-to for a Mediterranean getaway. I like the

piped edging and the slightly more tapered

cut makes it modern. I am glad it’s not a

baggy ensemble that makes me look like a

Dick Tracy villain.

Don’t get me wrong: there’s plenty of scope

for getting in trouble in France, Italy and

Greece and playful mischief is a calling card

of the fun-loving gentleman. But let it be

the result of too many anisette cocktails and

not an inferior cut suit that torpedoes my

chance of romance. Without Prejudice gives

me a fighting chance abroad; the rest is up to

personal charm and charisma, and that takes

practice.

In the Mediterranean Summer I can never be overdressed, but I have to keep it light, keep it tight and always remain Without Prejudice. Santé!

FRENCH 75LONDON DRY GIN, LEMON JUICE,

CHAMPAGNE, CANE SUGAR

Shake all three ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled glass, then top with Champagne. Garnish

with a lemon zest twist.

CARPE DIEMGIN, CHAMPAGNE, STRAWBERRIES, SUGAR, APPLE JUICE, LIME JUICE, ICE, BASIL LEAF

Blend strawberries, sugar and juices. add ice, gin and basil. Top with Champagne and serve over ice.

Garnish with a basil leaf.

BLUE MEDITERRANEANVODKA, BLUE CURACAO, LEMON JUICE,

MARASCHINO BERRY

Fill a shaker with ice cubes. add all ingredients. Shake and strain into a chilled wine glass filled with

crushed ice. Garnish with a maraschino berry.

DEATH IN VENICECAMPARI, GRAPEFRUIT BITTERS,

PROSECCO, ORANGE TWIST

Pour Campari and grapefruit bitters into chilled glass and top with presecco. Garnish with an

orange twist.

ESPRESSO MARTINIVODKA, KAHLUA, CHILLED ESPRESSO,

SUGAR SYRUP, COFFEE BEANS

Pour ingredients into shaker filled with ice, shake vigorously, and strain into chilled martini glass.
