It all started on January 19, 2007 with a business card listing
website and number on it. The card was seen in Heroes in the
episode “Godsend”. This was a rabbit hole. The link to the site
leads you to Prima Tech Paper Company homepage.

The trailhead to this game was a press
release by NBC. NBC reveals that they
are giving the Heroes audience a 360
degree experience.

A lot of players said this game fell under extended
reality and it wasn’t really an ARG but it had ARGish
aspects. Because this ARG only extended the story of
the TV show Heroes a lot of the ARG community didn’t
consider this an ARG. Is it and ARG? Lets run down the
Checklist.
As the show continued more information
would appear for the ARG.
New comics each week.
Blogs were commonly updated.
New Puzzles were Added.

Many different social networks were used.

Players input affected the story at one point.
Quote from an the Unfiction Forums:
“I'm fairly certain that's why they did the future episode,
because certain events did change during the episode but
yeah, Hana can't be shot now or ever. I wonder if that's
why she was on the show actually to highlight the web
part. I mean her skill was manipulating the internet, so it
actually makes more sense to introduce her and then
continue her arc online, which is precisely what they did.
Which probably means she'll stay as the ARG puppet
master.” – LorD BaZTArD

The players use forums and blogs to interact with each other
and solve puzzles together. There were two main sources
where information could be found.

Heroes 360 was very well advertized and
publicized.
The ads and information was very well spread
letting players know that there will be a Heroes
Experience game. Because of this the TINAG aspect
seemed to be missing. This is the one and only
thing that kept this Game from being a “Real” ARG.
A lot of the Puzzles were done in coding.

NBC’s goal was to promote the hit TV show Heroes. The show is now on its 3rd season and is growing a larger fan base every day.
“Heroes Evolutions has had 48 million page views as
of March 22, 2007, plus over 27 million video
downloads. On May 14, 2007, the program was
renewed for the second season.”
Heroes is still a ongoing ARG. It is in the
second season of the ARG and still
releasing new information weekly.
