    The Weekly Planning Bulletin is divided into 3 sections sorted by Electoral Ward. Section 1 is the list of

    recently registered applications, section 2 is the list of Proposal of Application Notices and section 3 isthe list of recent decisions. If there are no applications or notices in a ward, the ward name will appear

    and there will be a blank space underneath.

    This section contains details of planning applications registered since the last bulletin.

    You can inspect the plans, forms and other documents at the address below. Opening times are 8:30 -

    17:00 Mon-Thurs, 8:30 15:40 Friday. Alternatively, you can view this information on the Planning and

    Building Standards Portal using the website address below

    If you want to make comments on the application, you can do this in a number of ways.

    Making Representations

    Your comments must be received within 21 days of the date of registration, or advertisement in the press,whichever is later. These periods are extended for public holidays. Anonymous comments will not be

    taken into account and we need your name and address as your representation will become part of the

    application record, which is a public document. The comments you make will be made publicly

    available once the application has been determined and will be available to view on the Council

    website. Any comments that are racist will not be accepted and may be sent to the police for further

    investigation. Further advice on commenting on Planning Applications can be found on the Council

    website.

    Understanding the plans : The Planning Help Desk has a duty planner ready to help you, if you need

    assistance understanding the plans.

    What can I comment on? : The planning system is essentially about the development and use of land andbuildings so any comments made on applications should be relevant to this. These are called material

    considerations If you submit comments which are non material they will not be taken into account. This

    can be difficult to understand so we have given you some examples below.

    EXAMPLES

    Appearance (design, materials, scale, etc.) Loss of private view

    residential amenity e.g. noise, overshadowing Business issues relating to the applicant

    traffic, parking or access problems Possible fire hazard

    Acknowledgement of receipt of Representations

    You will receive an acknowledgement of your representation and we will let you know if it is material to

    the application. You will also be informed of the decision.

    Most applications are processed by delegated decision whereby planning officers decide applications

    under a publicly accountable process. If, however, there are more than six representations and these take

    an opposing view from the recommendation, then the application will be decided by your elected

    councillors on the Development Management Sub-Committee.
