WISA wood products have been developed for a range of end use

areas. WISA products offer solutions from building to interior decoration

and from transportation to specific industry needs. WISA products

can be supplied already cut to standard or specified sizes and

machined for convenient installation. They are also easy to further

process where required.

We use the best raw materials and our long experience to create and manufacture products

you can rely on. To ensure consistently high quality products, our Research and Development

Centre continuously researches raw materials, production processes and other important

factors affecting the performance characteristics of our products.

We are committed to quality and the environment. Most of our wood raw material

originates from privately owned forests independently certified as sustainably managed.

All our plywood mills and sawmills in Finland have ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification

and the right to use the PEFC label.

Our client relationships are based upon long term partnerships. We’ve been developing

logistic solutions together with our clients, ensuring efficient logistics and flexible service.

Our global sales network, technical backup service and evolving eBusiness solutions keep

Environmental protection and management are an integral part of UPM’s activities. We recognize

the fact that sustainable use of natural resources and environmental care and protection are vital

for sustainable economic growth and overall well-being. UPM takes responsibility for observing

the principles of sustainable development, as well as for continuous improvement of its

environmental performance.

In the choice of raw materials, sources of energy and production processes, as well as in product

development, an important objective is to minimize the impact on nature and the environment. In

developing our products and production methods, UPM pays a special attention to both quality

and cost-efficiency, as well as to the fact that raw material and energy are efficiently consumed

and that the recyclability of the products is as high as possible.

Attention to the environment

The concept of continuous improvement is a key component of the environmental management system. UPM works constantly to further improve its

processes, so that the environment would have to deal with even less impact in the future.
