Language Arts To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper LeeComing of age novel explores discrimination, racism, and injustice through the eyes of Scout, a 6yearold southern tomboy
Assessments include analysis of the literature (characters, setting, symbolism, etc.), large class discussions, analysis and discussion of specific passages, and quizzes.
Creative writing piece at the endincorporating the idea of perspective
The following unit will focus on human rights with the memoir Night by Eli Wiesel.
As always, extra help continues to be provided on Wednesday mornings and Wednesday after school.
We will end the year with a introduction to Shakespeare with Sonnets and Romeo and Juliet
