During WW1 there was not enough labour force. Women worked in offi ces, weapon factories, stores and had jobs that had been previously typically done by men (e.g. paving roads, driving the tram, tilling fields,…)
WOMEN WORK
As women were included in different jobs, their position in society changed. They got more freedom and they demanded equality. They became independent. After the Great War, they got the right to vote in many countries.
