WOMEN’S BUSINESS LEADERSHIP SESSION 102: SPRING [email protected] https://WBLseminar.com Students: (student-only blog listed here) What and When: Weekend class in partnership with the George Washington School of Business Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence. Your participation in this seminar is an important contribution to the women’s leadership field. Past participants have experienced an increase in self-efficacy (action-oriented self-confidence) of 150%. Faculty: Kathy Korman Frey, who teaches the nationally award-winning Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership at the George Washington University. Kathy earned her MBA from Harvard and is founder of The Hot Mommas® Project, the world's largest women's case study library (teachable stories). Mechi Cuellar Kommerstad (formerly Prof Frey's au pair, and now a career woman working with international visitors from the State Department!) is Associate Faculty and Teaching Assistant. Topics covered WBL 102 topics include: we focus on bringing out our inner leader in by exploring strengths and traits through personality assessments, understanding the “xFactor” of what we’re passionate about and how that can lead to meaningful goal development. Participants take “The Heroine’s Journey,” looking at challenges and how those can be turned into teaching points. We examine new global trends, and how this is changing the face of leadership. Finally, we put our goals into action using SMART principles, plus leadership building blocks of executive communication and the goldmine of mentorship. Participants leave with a “leadership dashboard” to guide them through their goal attainment as leaders in their life and careers. Looking ahead to Fall WBL 101, topics include leading research and interactive exercises on gender-based communication, negotiation, mentorship, confidence, and more. Students develop and “pitch” a business idea and learn some basics that go in to starting and running a business. Learn: What do successful entrepreneurs have that many others do not? What key communication mistakes do women often make and how to help ourselves and those around us avoid those mistakes? What is the confidence equation and how do we make it work for us? What is the key tactic for women to outperform others in negotiations? Participants leave with a business idea and tools to make that business idea into reality. This class increases key success factors by 150% and is a hands-down favorite of Au Pairs. Interactive exercises, guest speakers, and the tools to set in achieve your dreams based on actual research and proven techniques make this class an unforgettable experience. Please see testimonials at the class site. https://WBLseminar.com
