What amazing writing & art work from

Kindergarten! We are very proud of their

learning in 2020!

KP invited Mrs Ferguson to read a book to

them. They tricked her into reading a book

that made her say nonsense words and silly

things, which they thought was hilarious!

It was the best fun Mrs Ferguson has had in

ages!! So many laughs from all of us.

SCHOOL TRAVEL FOR 2021

2021 school travel applications are now open Students who require a School Opal card or travel pass for 2021 can now apply online. https://apps.transport.nsw.gov.au/ssts/#/howToApply A new application should be submitted if a student is applying for a school travel pass for the first time or requesting an additional pass as a result of a new shared parental responsibility situation (e.g. joint custody).

Students who have changed school/campus, changed address, repeated a year or received an expiry notification from Transport for NSW for their school travel entitlement should re-apply or update their details. https://apps.transport.nsw.gov.au/ssts/#/updateDetails *Applications must be completed by the student's parent or legal guardian if the student is aged under 16 years. Students 16 years and over must complete the application form themselves.

Where there is a change of distance eligibility based on a student’s grade, the system will automatically update a student’s entitlement if they meet the new criteria. If they do not meet the new eligibility criteria, they will receive an expiry notification via email. https://apps.transport.nsw.gov.au/ssts/#/whoIsEligible

Students who have an entitlement approved under a medical condition which is due to expire will receive a notification advising them to re-apply.

Term Bus Pass holders will receive a notification to re-apply. https://apps.transport.nsw.gov.au/ssts/#/termBusPass

If a student needs to update their information or re-apply, they should go online to https://apps.transport.nsw.gov.au/ssts/updateDetails#/

Applications need to be submitted before 31 December 2020 to ensure that current student entitlements are updated and their current entitlement/card remains valid. If their application is submitted after 31 December 2020, the system will automatically cancel an entitlement/card and a new one will need to be issued.

Students in the Opal network applying for a SSTS or Term Bus Pass entitlement for the first time will receive their card at their nominated postal address. Cards will be mailed out from January 2021.

Students residing in Rural and Regional (R&R) areas should receive their travel pass at the commencement of the new school year from their nominated operator, this may be distributed via the school or sent direct to their address. Note: some R&R operators do not issue travel passes. Students/Parents should confirm with their nominated operator if they do not receive a pass.

HEAD LICE There have been reports of head lice at the school. We need all families to check their child/ren and if head lice are found, to carry out the necessary eradication procedures. Please regularly check and carry out treatment on hair remembering to wash all bed linen, towels, hair brushes, combs etc. if head lice are found. Only when all families are vigilant can the problem be solved.

Did you know? Anyone can catch head lice regardless of their age, sex, or how clean their hair is.

How can you get rid of head lice? Daily combing using white hair conditioner with a fine-tooth comb is effective in getting rid of head lice and eggs (nits).

To prevent head lice – Mix together 20mls Eucalyptus Oil + 20mls Tea Tree Oil (Can add another oil for smell e.g. lavender) Top with water in a spray bottle Spray hair each day.

How can you help reduce the spread of head lice? ➢ Regularly check your children's hair and treat

only if needed. ➢ Teach older children to check their own hair. ➢ Tie back and braid long hair. ➢ Keep a fine-tooth head lice comb in the

bathroom and encourage all family members to use it when they wash their hair.
