ANTICIPATED TAX INCREASE: 0

STATE FUNDING

NJ Department of Education will partially fund qualified school construction renovation projects. The NJ DOE reimburses the district’s debt service each year.

• The public must approve the project via referendum.• Only partial funding is available.

FUNDING PLAN

• The 2017 referendum debt is being paid with Township programs.• No tax increase associated with the construction.• The March 2020 referendum will be paid the same way.• Sale from Township properties and taxes generated from new

warehouse from the Avenel project will fund the 2020 referendum.

STUDENT MOVEMENT

• Students at Ford Avenue School #14 will move into Lafayette Estates School #25 in September 2022 or when School #25 addition is completed.

• Surplus seating at Schools #29, #25 and #11 for any additional students from housing projects.

• Additional elementary classrooms satisfy the LRFP capacity shortage
