each person in different ways, and can range from very mild to severe. People with autism share some similar symptoms, such as problems with social interaction. However, there are differences in when the symptoms start, how severe they are, and the exact nature of the symptoms. The CDC also estimates that 1 out of 110 children have an Autism Spectrum Disorder. Researchers do not know the cause of autism. They have learned that there are likely many causes, such as, environmen-tal, biologic and genetic factors. Also, there is no cure for autism, however, different types of thera-pies are available to help people with autism. April is National Autism Awareness Month. So here’s a few interesting facts to help build your awareness: * Autism is more common than childhood cancer, diabetes, and AIDS combined.* Approximately 67 million people worldwide are affected by autism.* Autism is reported to occur in all racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic groups, yet on average 4 to 5 times more likely to occur in boys than in girls.

cookie and you also get to decorate the cookie cake yourself! Coffee cake is like angel cake but has this sweet cinnamon sugar in the middle and on top of the cake.

Family and Consumer Science is one room but withfivekitchens! It is a very well organized room with many differ-ent kitchen uten-sils to use while cooking. There is a

demonstration table where Ms. Bostard shows us how to prepare the next yummy dish. It then takes a lot of teamwork to get the job done. Woody Times asked Ms. Bostard, “Do you like your job and do you cook a lot at home?” Ms. Bostard replied, “I love my job, but I don’t cook much at home because I cook so much at school.” We then asked her about some of her favorite foods. She said, “I love pizza, lasagna, and chicken enchiladas!” We both like Family and Consumer Sci-ence class a lot. Ms. Bostard is a fun and friendly teacher and we get to eat what we learn.

The Shamrock ShakeMr. Pascuzzi

The Shamrock Shake, a sort of pop culture icon, emerged in its delicious mint-flavoredgoodnessin1970.Widelyavailable for two decades, it became less available in the late 1990s. Nowadays you may have to drive around from one McDonald’s to another in order to indulge the frosty St. Patrick’s Day treat. When I was in high school I used to buy multiple Shamrock Shakes and hoard them in the freezer so that I could enjoy them after March.Thissometimeshard-to-findsea-sonal milkshake can be duplicated. A Girl That’s Confused? A short story by Amy Lorena Pochita Narvaez

One day a girl is dating someone who no-body likes because they think he’s weird. So then she is going out with him and then she found out that someone’s talking about him and messing with him. She don’t care but most of the time she do. Then after the whole school knows about her and her boyfriend they start telling her things that she didn’t want to hear. But then she thought he was the one for her, but she was wrong. The reason I said this is because after like two weeks they have been dating he tells her best friend that he’s done with her and then she didn’t want to be-lieve them when they said it but then it broke her down. She cried when no one was around because she didn’t want to think it was true. But then 9th and 10th period came and he told her himself. Then she went home and cried all day and she has gotten more low self- esteem. But then after the big break up another boy came to her side and asked her to go out with him and she said “Yes.” But then after 1 week of them dating he dumped her. So that didn’t help her at all. Then a month went by and the boy of her dreams came and they talked on the phone for like 5 hours and she told him that she liked him and she asked him was that weird for him to see on the text message and he said “No.” but then the next day of school came and he asked her out and she said “Yes.” But her relationship was going very well but then they where on 3 way and then him and his friends were saying rude stuff to her and her friend so then she broke up with him. But then 3 days later he saw how bad she was doing without him and he asked her for another change and she said “Ok.” But now they don’t really act like they are dating; they act like they are friends. But she loves him for him. And they see each other in Lunch Bunch together.

El Chupacabra andThe Jersey DevilStuart Tartal

The chupa-cabra means goat sucker. The chupa-cabra is said to look like a wolf. The whole thing started when a purtirican farmer was going out to feed the chickens and there were two dead hens with two puncture wounds as if by the fangs of a vampire. The farmer checked the remains they were sucked dry of their blood. One afternoon a man was walking and said he shot the chupacabra but it was just a wolf with a rare fur disease(that I do not know the name of ). The wolf’s disease causes loss of fur. Is the chupa-cabra real? You tell me . Let’s now take a trip to New Jersey four centuries ago and visit the devil. The Jersey Devil, of course. It all started when a mother was go-ing to give birth to her thirteenth child and it was

on a Friday. People belive that it started the supersti-tion on Friday the thirteenth. Now the child appered as a hideous crea-ture with skin

of leather horns of a goat, and a wing and had the mosthideousface.Hethenflewupthechimneyand into the woods. A few days later an old woman saw the creature with her dog. She then beat him withabroom.Ttdroppedherdogandflewaway.Another man saw the beast in front of his carriage and a man said that there were horse prints on the roof of a building. So do you think that the Jersey Devil is real?

Jared’s Fun FactsJared Braun

On September 26, 1983 a company called Atari had a burial in New Mexico for several million unsold games. All of which were the same game. The game was based on the movie E.T.(The Extra Terrestrial). Atari had only 5 weeks to make the game because they wanted to sell it for the holiday season. The game had a lot of problems from screen freezes to the E.T. character “glitching out.” E.T. is on a list of games called “The Worst Games Ever” not because of the burial but because the game cost the company about $3 million.E.T.iseasytofindandmostpeoplewho bought it still have it to this day.

The Gaming CornerRhett Spadacene Welcome back to The Gaming Corner! We will reviewarefined, boringgame.Ah,whattheheck, today we will review Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Ultimate Marvel is eye grabbing, button mashing and character pounding. When you start up the game, there will be 12 new characters, 2 other downloadable ones and 8 new stages. On the Marvel side we have Vergil, Strider Hiyeru, Nemesis T-type, Frank West, Phoe-nix Wright, and Firebrand. Marvel’s part of the roster is Dr. Strange, Ghost Rider, Hawkeye, Drag-onfist,Nova,andRocketRacoon.Thesearegreatadditions to the games even though half of the new characters I never heard of or have seen until I got the game, but all confusion aside, these characters

areeasytoplayandaredevastatingfighters. The object is fairly simple: just keep punch-ing away until all the opponents’ characters’ hp is zero; then you or your opponent wins. There is a story mode where you beat about 9 teams and then youfightGalactus.Whenyoubeathim, yougetthecharacters’ ending which is a comic showing what happenstothecharactersaftertheGalactusfight. Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 is an excellent game. It is a kind of game to let your anger out or just have fun. This game gets a rating of 5 out of 5.
