Work Diary – Sequencing Evaluation: I really enjoyed shooting sequencing and think it is one of the techniques that I have had the most fun learning. I found it was a technique that allowed me to be really creative and work within a small space with limited subjects/props or objects. We went out shooting at the park for this technique and I found multiple things too shoot, all of which I could get a different effect. It’s a technique that allowed me to work with class mates as well as objects or things I found at the park – all my work was totally unplanned and spontaneous and I was still very happy with the results that I got experimenting. Here is an example of some of the work that I did. I used some of my class mates here to create a sequence. Though this is a fairly simple sequence only using four photos, I like the effect it has given. Because there is a slight difference in each of the photos the focus in it changes. This way the audience gets to look at each section of the photo (which are predominately the same apart from the deliberate change) in more detail. I like the way in this sequence that everyone is dress similarly and this makes them also stand out against the greenery in the background. I had fun shooting this and would like to try out some more shoots like this. Idea Development: Sequencing is definitely something that I want to use in my proposed project idea. I love the way you

Work Diary – Sequencing

Evaluation:

I really enjoyed shooting sequencing and think it is one of the techniques that I have had the most fun learning.

Idea Development:

Sequencing is definitely something that I want to use in my proposed project idea. I love the way you can use the ‘same’ photo but make a different part of it the focal point/stand out depending on what you change and how you change it. Working with makeup as my project idea there will be a lot of things I can change in terms of colour, and possibly try doing something with expression as I will mainly be working with the face. I could do this similarly with the body should I plan any shoots where I use the entire body for makeup and look at different poses.

Though perhaps not exactly an example of sequencing, this photo from ANTM has inspired me to do a sequencing piece in photography, whilst combining colour and makeup too.
