tutors this afternoon.• Think of somewhere you might like to work:hairdresser, school, office, shop, mechanics, engineers etc.• Think about how you would get there everyday for two

weeks.• Talk to your family – there is a parents meeting next

Tuesday 14 July at 6pm• Approach an Employer and ask if they would give you a

work experience placement from 7th – 18th March 2015 – always be polite!

• You have the summer holiday to find a placement.

• Complete the student section of the form (Sections 1-6 & 9)• Ask the employer (Section 7) and your

parent/guardian (Section 8) to complete and sign their section.

• Completed forms must be returned to Mrs Ingle in E7 by 18th September 2015 at the latest –

as soon as you have it completed bring it in.• Forms are then checked in school (Section 9)• Completed forms are then sent to BEBP (Buckingham Education Business Partnership)

• BEBP carry out visits to Employers to complete checks:

• prepare a job description• any specialist clothing• Health and Safety• Child Protection• If the placement is approved – a letter and

parental consent request confirming the placement will be issued to you by BEBP.

• The earliest these letters will go out is January 2016.

When you receive your placement confirmation letter:• Parental consent must be returned to Mrs Ingle(or you don’t go)• You can arrange an interview with the Employer.(more details at this time)

• When you are out at your placement, in March, you will need to keep a diary and do a project about your work experience placement.

FinanceIt costs the school £58.50 for every work experience placement found by a student.

If you don’t find your own placement itcosts the school £75.00 to find you a placement.

If you decide to do two placements of one week each – then we will need to pass on the additional cost of £58.50 on to you.

It is very, very important that you return the forms to me in E7 by the closing date of 18th September or it might delay your placement.

It is also time consuming to have to chase you for the completed forms!

You have one form to complete, I have to check all of them!
