SUMMARY
A two hole drilling program, totalling 736 feet (224 metres), was conducted
for Scimitar Systems Inc. on their Mission Lake property 10 kilometers south of
Wawa, Ontario. Drilling was done in late February 1987 by Falcon Drilling Ltd.
of Prince George, B.C.
The objective of the program was to test a gold bearing quartz vein system
located by previous drilling and exposed on the surface.
l The vein was intersected in both holes, however, due to drilling
— complications, the deeper of the two quartz vein intersections could not be
B completed. Based on results from previous drilling, it is believed that the
B zone carrying the gold values has not yet been reached, so steps were taken to
enable completion of the hole with a different drill at a future date.
The best assay returned was .11 oz/t over 4.5 feet (1.4 metres) from one of
many shear zones intersected in both holes. This confirms the extension of
mineralization located in previously drilled holes.
l Further exploration is recommended including VLF electromagnetic and
Induced Polarization surveys, trenching, completion of hole 87-7 and a further
l program of diamond drilling. The costs for such a two staged program are
estimated at 8205,205.

A combined airborne E.M. Survey was completed in 1966 by Acme Gas and Oil Company Limited over the western two-thirds of the property. Only the airborne magnetometer results are reported. (Microfiche - Rabazo 0014 B-l)."
There are no detailed ground geological or geophysical survey reports filed
with the Ontario Department of Mines covering the Crozier Lake property.
During the period June 15 to July 15, 1983, line cutting, geological
mapping, rock geochem sampling and magnetometer surveys were completed on
portions of the property.
During the winter of 1985, six holes were drilled on the property as
recommended by A.W. Dean, P. Geol., in his report dated July 25, 1983. Two
holes were drilled on the Clement option near the northwest corner of swamp lake
and four holes were drilled near the east end of Mission Lake to confirm the
extension of a surface showing under the lake.

REGIONAL GEOLOGICAL SETTING
The Wawa Area lies within the Michipicoten "greenstone belt" of the Early
Precambrian Superior Province. Rock types include mafic and felsic
metavolcanics similar to those described in other "greenstone belts" in
Northwestern Ontario.
Following the discovery of gold on the south shore of Wawa Lake in 1897
about ten small tonnage gold mines produced intermittently mainly between 1900
to 1910 and 1927 to 1939. These past producing gold mines (Figure 3) occur in a
belt stretching some six miles south from Wawa Lake. The types of deposits
produced are described as narrow quartz veins with varying amounts of sulphide
occurring as:
(1) fissure filling veins
(2) veins in narrow shear zones, and
(3) veins in wide carbonatized shear zones.
Gold occurs in the quartz veins both as free gold and as fine gold
associated with disseminated sulphides and in places with massive sulphide pods.
The sulphides include pyrite, pyrrhotite and arsenopyrite.
l PROPERTY GEOLOGY
The property lies within the southwest extremity of the Michipicoten
l "Greenstone Belt". With reference to the O.D.M. Map P. 640, the claims are
shown to be underlain for the most part by metavolcanics identified as follows:

Ib Felsic metavolcanics with interbedded undifferentiated metasediments or mafic metavolcanics.
lAn intrusive approximately one mile long by one mile wide is indicated on
the map as occurring just north of the north central boundary of the property
consisting of undifferentiated mafic and ultramafic rocks. Due to the large
scale of the reference map only the general geology within the claim group can
be assessed.
With reference to the O.D.M. Airborne Magnetometer Map 2191G, the rocks
within the property strike in a northwesterly trend. The surface mapping and
sampling carried out in 1983 and earlier confirmed that.
The 1983 mapping outlined the present area of interest known as the Mission
Lake Shear. This zone extends for 800 feet, is well mineralized with pyrite and
carries low grade gold and silver values over its entire length.
This shear zone was explored by drilling in 1963 and produced marginal
results. The 1985 drilling program explored the same shear zone with similar
results except for hole 85-3b6, which returned 0.72 oz/t gold and 3.3 oz/t
silver across the richest section of 2 feet (.6 metres) just above the footwall
contact of a 17 foot (5.2 metres) thick quartz vein and the underlying sheared
tuff.
This area of gold bearing mineralization occurs at the intersection of the
l l l
- 6
Mission Lake fault and another major linear feature, the Bridget Lake lineament,
^ which trends northeast-southwest through the claim block. Geologically, this
* appears to be a very favourable area for economic mineral deposition.

DIAMOND DRILLING
Introduction
Two holes totalling 736 feet (224 metres) were drilled from the ice on
Mission Lake for Scimitar Systems Inc. between February 23, 1987 and February
28, 1987. The drilling was done on claim SSM 884772 and collar locations were
tied into the 1983 grid. Hole 87-7 collar is located at coordinates 46+50E,
76+40N and drilled due magnetic north at -45* angle. Hole 87-8 collar is located
at 46+50E, 77+53N and also drilled north at -45* angle.
The objective of the program was to more accurately test the zone
l
l
l
lThe tuff is magnetic and contains trace amounts of fine grained
l disseminated pyrite. The rock unit is cut by numerous shear zones that
m generally show a slight increase in pyrite content and are often more siliceous
and graphitic.
l
delineated by the previous drilling program as recommended by J.B. Predergast,
M.A., P. Geop., P.Eng., in his report dated March 1985.
The main lithology intersected in both holes is a chloritic tuff that is
intermittently marked by light coloured calcareous and siliceous laminae.
l
lll l l l l l l l
7 -
l l l l l l l l
The tuff is cut by a gold bearing quartz vein that both holes intersected.
The quartz has a saccarordal texture and contains stringers and disseminated
pyrite varying from trace amounts to several percent, depending on the interval.
Lesser amounts of pyrrhotite and trace amounts of galena and chalcopyrite were
also noted.
Discussion
DDH 87-7
The location of this hole represents a step-out of 50 feet (15.2 metres)
along strike west of the section that contains holes 85-2, 85-3a, 85-3b and the
mineralized surface outcrop. The dip angle of the hole was set at -45* to
intersect the target zone at about 270 feet (82.3 metres} below surface.
The hole was cased to 57 feet (17.4 metres) at which point the laminated
chloritic tuff was intersected. The tuff for the most part is chloritic,
however, there are two bands near the upper level of the hole that are
graphitic.
Two lamprophyrye dikes were intersected, one at 116.5 feet (35.5 metres) to
118.5 feet (36.1 metres) and the other at 136.5 feet (41.6 metres) to 142 feet
(43.3 metres). These carry minor amounts of sulfides, but are not part of the
system that is related to the gold mineralization in the area.
There are three siliceous shear zones that were intersected before
intersecting the main quartz vein. They occur at 349 feet (106.4 metres) to 353
feet (107.6 metres), 357.5 feet (109.0 metres) to 371 feet (113.1 metres) and
l l
. 8 .
l 376 feet {114.6 metres) to 382.5 feet (116.6 metrees) and are characterized by
intense brecciation and silicification. Sulfide mineralization in these shears
m consists of mainly pyrite occuring as fine to medium grained euhedral crystals,
B as small stringers and as stratiform bands. Sulfide concentrations average
about ^ to 3*fc in these shears with some intervals carrying as much as !Q*)o.
l Assays in the shear zones were disappointing with the best value being 0.024
oz/t gold over 2 feet (0.6 m).
m The main quartz vein was intersected at 382.5 feet (116.6 metres) and is
characterized by its grainy saccaroidal texture. The vein strikes east-west and
l
l
has a near dip vertical as determined by surface mapping.
Drilling problems down the hole occurred at this point. Caving in the hole
m squeezed the rods to the extent that drilling could no longer progress.
Attempts were made for two full shifts to solve the problem by flushing out the
l hole with water and by using drilling mud, but the drill rods were still so
tight that the drill could hardly turn the rods.
lt
m The hole was then stopped in the quartz vein and the casing left in the
hole so that a larger drill could be used to go back down and complete the job
l
l
at a future date.
Unfortunately, these problems were the cause of achieving only S O 1** core
recovery up to that point in the quartz vein.
ll Mineralization in the vein was sparse and assays returned from vein samples
l
l l
. 9 -
l were very poor, with the best assay being .010 oz/t gold over one foot (.3
— metres). Less than l"fc sulfides were noted in the vein. Pyrite occurs as very
'™ fine grained disseminated blebs and fine stringers throughout. Trace amounts of
l galena were noted occurring as very fine grained disseminations. However, as
indicated by previous drilling, the mineralization and gold values occurred near
the footwall contact which was not reached in this hole.
DDK 87-8
This hole was drilled on the same section as hole 87-7, however, the collar
was located 113 feet (34.5 metres) to the north so that the vein could be
intersected one hundred feet (30.5 metres) above the hole seven intersection.
The hole angle was also -45*.
The hole was cased to 52 feet (15.9 metres) in the chloritic tuff unit. At
l l l l l
59.5 feet (18.1 metres) is a quartz vein from 1.5 feet (.5 metres) that has two
l
l
l
l
l
3 inch (8 cm) bands that contain S1*, pyrite. Gold values in this vein were less
than .005 oz/t.
There is another 4 feet (1.2 metres) of saccaroidal quartz vein at 64 feet
(19.5 metres), the last 2 feet (.6 metres) of which contains lQ*k disseminated
and banded pyrite. Gold values in this intersection were also less than .005
oz/t.
There is a graphitic shear at 167.5 feet (51.1 metres) to 177 feet (54.0
metres), the last 4.5 feet (1.4 metres) of which assayed .110 oz/t gold. Only
l minor disseminated pyrite was noted in this intersection and it was only
l
l l l l l l l l l l l
- 10 -
l
slightly siliceous, very calcareous and brecciated.
There is another graphitic shear from 181 feet (55.2 metres) to 184 feet
{56.1 metres) where there is less than ^ disseminated pyrite. This is likely
part of a fault zone. The core recovery here is less than 5(^. Core recovery
was poor to 188 feet (57.3 metres) which ends a l foot (.3 metres) fault gouge
zone. No significant mineralization or assays were encountered here.
From 192 feet (58.5 metres) to 193 feet (59 metres) is another saccaroidal
quartz vein that contains less than ^ disseminated pyrite and no gold values
were encountered.
This hole did not encounter the strong quartz vein system found in hole
87-7. The small quartz veins encountered in the upper sections of the hole may
be remnants of that system and if so, has been offset significantly by a fault,
l possibly the one occurring at 187 feet (57.0 metres) and also do not carry any
gold values.
m CONCLUSIONS
The drilling program conducted was successful in confirming the vertical
l extension of a gold bearing quartz vein found on surface. The vein was present
in both holes and was stronger in the deeper intersection. Unfortunately the
drilling problems resulted in poor core recovery and non completion of the
coring through the quartz vein in DDK 87-7.ll All the core was analysed by Vangeochem Labs of North Vancouver, B.C. for
l

l gold, silver and lead. Grades were generally disappointing, however, in DDK
87-8 at 52 metres depth is 1.4 metres of .11 oz/t gold and 450 ppm lead.
l Although there are numerous samples that returned slightly elevated silver and
lead values, there were none that were of any economic significance.
There are, however, several points of encouragement in spite of the
drilling problems and marginal assays. First, it is noted from previous
l drilling in surrounding holes that the gold values occur near the vein footwall
M contact. In hole 87-7, where the quartz veining is strongest, drilling was not
completed through the vein to that footwall contact and it is highly likely that
l
l
l
l
l— Thirdly, several siliceous shears and breccia zones were noted in both
B holes, which present favourable areas for mineral deposition, especially in
light of the fact that there is a large intrusive body of rock nearby to the
north.
l
the values are there, which is why it is so imperative that this hole be
completed.
Secondly, there were several faults noted in hole 87-8 indicating that
there likely is some off-setting of the vein system. That is not surprising
since this area is near the intersection of two major faults so structural
geology is bound to be complex.
l l
. 12 .
l RECOMMENDATIONS
Results from exploration to date on the property are encouraging enough to
m warrant further exploration on the property. Because of the numerous lakes and
B swamps on the property, further field work will have to be done in the winter
after freeze up.
lIt is recommended that a stage one program of winter geophysics be done
l prior to the resumption of any drilling program. A VLF electromagnetic survey
should be done to accurately locate the structure along which the system of
quartz veins lie. The VLF survey is quick, low cost and could prove to be a
very useful tool.
l l l l l l
l
l
l
l
Also, once the structure is mapped with the VLF, an Induced Polarization
survey should be conducted across the structure to locate potential zones
carrying sulfides. This should be conducted on a tightly spaced grid with lines
25 metres apart therefore a line cutting program of 15 kilometers will have to
preceed the geophysical program.
g Also, a limited trenching and sampling program should be undertaken to
™ further expose and sample presently known mineralized showings prior to further
B drilling.
Finally, it is recommended that a minimum 1,200 metre stage two program be
conducted along the major shear zone at a spacing of 25 metre centers. It is
recommended that, as part of a larger program, that hole 87-7 be completed,
using a Longyear 38 drill or something else of comparable size. AU drilling is
- 13 -l ll contingent upon first accurately developing targets from the geophysics and
trenching.
