Adaptive Restoration, Renovations and Maintenance

o Residential Building converted into Children's Museum

Archaeological Excavations Administration and Programme Coordinator

o Provided logistic support to archaeological excavations (9th season) at Pattanam( Purchase of storage materials, excavation tools, trench management etc.) and got acquainted with locus excavation method.

o Trained to use Portable X ray Spectrometer by Chinese team from Palace Museum, China

o Drafted the estimates and expenditure reports and managed the finance as per government norms.

o Co-ordinated Bamboo Prototype workshop in association with CEPT University Ahmedabad and Camilo Jose Cela University Spain. Installed Bamboo structure at Kochi Musiris Biennale (2014)as a part of the workshop.

Site Surveys

Project Conceptualization

o Assessing the site significance by studying the excavation patterns and providing report on land purchase.

o Collected accidental finds and conducted initial surveys.

o Surveyed a Residence of Historic Importance and Prepared the Statement of Significance.

o Fencing: After careful consideration of enclosure options, a simple mesh fence was opted, followed it up with cost estimation and quotation assessments for execution.

o Design of Pottery sherds display unit.

o Construction of Pattanam Wharf roof and In-situ Museum -Execution strategy. ( simultaneous excavations and footing construction). Customized the Construction contract by adding clauses for heritage conservation.

Green Archaeology o To preserve the village ambience, we

o Medicinal garden set up under the guidance of Dr. Sarala Samuel, Kerala Ayurveda Ltd.

o Timely care for Nutmeg trees ( 1.5 acres) , black pepper vines and Cocunut trees ( 5 acres).

Visitor ManagementAs a prominent and recently discovered site, it received attention from academia and public alike.
