INFOPROJECTFestival Mondial des Arts Negres ADIAS Science and Technology ExhibitYEAR2010CLIENTRRTN MITLOCATIONDakar, Senegal

A project that I worked on along with the Senior Art Director while interning at Proverb. The project was for MIT’s Robert R. Taylor Network (RRTN). We created the graphics for their exhibit showcasing African contributions to Science and Technology.

The World Festival Exhibit on Black Contribution to Science and Technology showcases the contribution of Africans and the African Diaspora from ancient civilization to the present. The exhibit will take you through a journey of how people of African descent have always contributed to our understanding of the world around us and the advancement of civilization through scientific discovery, technological innovation, and invention. Black people have been part of the scientific community and continue to make significant contributions to the advancement of human knowledge and economic impact through invention and discovery for the betterment of mankind.

IntroductionWall The exhibit opens with a strong temporal visual collage of the black experience in science and technology from the African Diaspora to the current African Renaissance. This image is overlayed with inspirational words describing the exhibit and setting context to black culture in science and technology. By way of a quote from “The Complexion of Science” by leading historian and researcher in the field of Science, Technology, and Society, Professor Kenneth Manning, the audience is grounded to the reality of the science community’s need to be more inclusive and accepting of black and other non-white cultures in order to advance our greater good.

DetailThe background is made up out of a series of

sketches created by the scientist for their inventions.

FESTIVAL OF ART + SCIENCE + TECHNOLOGYCelebrating MIT's culture of creativity and invention

THE FESTIVAL OF ARTS,SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY(FAST) WEBSITEPROVERB was commissioned to create the identity for MIT’s FAST. Proverb was to generate a clear and memorable articulation of FAST’s presence within the MIT +150 celebrations by designing and executing core brand elements specific to FAST. As part of this project I helped develop the look and feel for the Fast website using the identity developed by the senior designer at PROVERB.

ROBOT PRINTSA concept that was in the works with my mechanic on creating a small silk printing company at his location. Robot Prints would have been a company where small businesses, schools and other entities could get different types of apparel printed. It would have also offered clients design services to create high quality graphics.

ConceptThe idea for the mock up site was to have a simple yet modern looking website, where the information is clear and concise. The main purpose for the website was to exhibit the design of the shirts in an elegant and simple fashion. Creating a minimalist site.

project : Noble Cars

Project : Web Design Location : Boston,Type MA 39/

NOBLE CARSI re-designed the Noble website as a self initiated project. After learning and seeing the Noble M600 I immediately fell in love with the car. The Noble M600 is powerful and aggressive while being elegant and nimble. I decided to re-design the Noble website after visiting Noble current website. Nobles current website does not translate the elegance and the contemporary feel that the car manifests.

INFOPROJECTNoble Cars

YEAR2013CLIENTSelf CommissionedLOCATIONBoston, Massachusetts

Landing PageThe home page for the Nobel Website was designed to incorporate large photographs and text to display boldy and elegantly Nobles product, the M600.

Nobles current website does not exude any feelings of what the car is. Nobles website has a very sterile feel to it which does not do their brand justice. From reading and watching different videos on the M600, the consensus was that the car engages the driver culminating in a exciting car to drive due to its simplicity and rawness.
