    RATIONALE

The perception, expectations & attitudes of business houses that prevailed a decades ago is

    changing very fast. Definition of

    working single minded to increase

    profitability at the expenses of

    communities, environment and

biodiversity is also shifting its base.

As business fraternity & our policy

    makers have also realised that

    probably that unplanned

    development & growth,

    materialistic greed and over

consumerism may be the cause of

    clashes, violence, fractured

    societies, global warming around

the world & irony is that nobody benefits from such disturbed situations, catastrophic climate

change or rampant displacement, unemployment and social unrest that comes with it.

As we all know prosperous, stable societies and healthy planet are the bedrock of our political

stability, economic growth and flourishing new markets. Everyone has role to play, said HE Ban

ki Moon, Secretary General United Nation.

Society have seen that responsible business initiatives & practices combined with innovations &

collaboration can bring powerful change in the society. Today world needs more responsible

business start-ups & change makers around

the world to commit sustainability & willing

to take shared responsibility for achieving a

better & brighter tomorrow. We must

    understand that In inclusive global

economy, both business & society can

thrive, within the environmental limits of

    the planet.

    WHY WE NEED TO THINK

    DIFFERENTLY

As we all know, the greatest challenge

world facing today is inequitable distribution of wealth and opportunities. There is no way

society to prosper in isolation, so business must show their concern and collaborate for the

larger good with other stakeholders (Govt., CSOs/NGOs, Academia, Media, Consultants etc.).

After all if the rest wither away, there will be no takers for their good and services, so it make

greater sense to make business sustainable and socially responsible. Some researchers have

also established that societal value creation delivered through a strategic business context is

    more meaningful and scalable.

    CHANGING TRENDS

We have witnessed a breed of change makers with “Compassionate Heart & Entrepreneurship

mindsets” in the last decades, who have

taken it upon themselves to make a

    difference in their chosen areas.

    Today, young entrepreneurs & innovative

    start-ups venturing into virtual & e-

    commerce space with new business

models, changing the landscape of doing

business be it in the domain of education,

    health, retail, transportation, sanitation,

    agro-marketing, fashion, FMCG, Food, or

real estate. Past one decade has totally

changed the basic concept of doing

business, so is the role and

    responsibilities of our business leaders.

Now, Govt. of India is seriously promoting its flagship campaign “Start-up India” with backend

support with huge financial resources for the success of the mission. Govt. Policies are also

altered in order to facilitate and strengthen business ecosystem for young start-ups and MSMEs.

The basic idea of the mission is to make young entrepreneurs vibrant, globally competitive as

well as socially responsible with highest corporate values through modern technology

    platform.

    OUR PLAN & VISION

    Understanding the importance of socially

responsible start-ups & investments to achieve

    SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), “Green

Earth Alliance (offshoot of SFID)” is running

    various educational,awareness & sensitizing

campaigns to make our business houses

    sustainable &

    responsible

    through their strategic CSR framework.

After successfully organising national & regional

conferences on “CSR & MDGs”, “CSR Essentials”,

    “International Conference on Social Entrepreneurship”,

    “Unleashing Social Entrepreneurship” with technical

support from leadings institutions like Titan, Tata Motors,

ONGC, SBI, THDC, BHEL, IMT, PHD Chamber, Doon University, AIM/Manila etc.

GEA is now proposing to organise series of workshops, brainstorming & sensitizing sessions for

our present and future business leaders on the basics of sustainability & help to achieve UN’s

    SDG (Sustainable Development Goals).

We will bring concerned leaders & other stakeholders under one-

roof and create vibrant platform to interact, collaborate & learn from

each others. Show-casing of responsible & successful social

enterprises that combines the business with the passion and

commitment of creating values to reshape our developmental

outcomes will be done through this initiative.

    OFFER

We seek your support in this campaign to design and develop sustainable enterprises for

social and financial inclusion of people living at the bottom of pyramid (BOP) and transform

    the world.
