Global HungerThere are over 870 million people around the
world who are food insecure.
The vast majority of food insecure people live in developing countries.
Poor nutrition causes nearly half (45%) of deaths in children under five.
Our Global Network
The Relieving the Hunger Campaign is a Global Service Action Campaign that focuses on hunger and malnutrition in communities around the world. • The campaign takes place during the
months of December and January.• Lions are asked to plan service
activities supporting hunger relief organizations and local food pantries.
