“Here’s a vision: big, secure, wild landscapes where all the native plants and animals thrive. Nearby, human

communities flourish, their economic vitality linked to the vibrant good health of the natural world

surrounding them”

For over two decades, Doug and Kris Tompkins have turned their entrepreneurial and business skills towards a

major philanthropic commitment focused on nature conservation, land and species restoration, sustainable

agriculture and community development. Driven by their love for the outdoor lifestyle and their belief in the

potential of the world's natural capital, Doug and Kris have managed to create 2.2 million acres of permanently

protected land in Argentina and Chile.
