World Book Day
5th March ’20
F2 have a memorable day reading, acting out stories and having fun.
One of our teacher’s favourite
books was The Large Family ‘A
Quiet Night In’ but who could it be? Can you guess?
Some children even brought the book their
character was in.
Phoebe w
as ‘Penguin’.
Amelia w
as
‘Goldilocks’.
Deacon was ‘Thor’.
Maisie w
as ‘The
Highway Rat’.
They looked fabulous.
Gra
ce was ‘Elsa’.
Blake was ‘Horrid
Henry’.
Sloane was ‘Little
Red Riding Hood’.
Harvey was ‘The
Flying D
octor’.
The teachers had their favourite books
with them too.
First of all we had circle time and shared
our favourite books and showed off our
costumes. There were some brilliant ones. EVERYONE had come in fancy dress. Well done to all the mums, dads and carers for the effort they had
put in!
We had lots of princesses from
different stories…
…we had two Horrid Henrys…
…Peter Rabbit and a Flopsy Bunny from Beatrix Potter…
…two ‘Alices’ and a Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland…
…we had two Goldilocks…
…and two Little Red Riding Hoods…
…we had characters from StarWars…
…characters from Toy Story…
…loads of different superheroes…
…a pirate and Harry Potter…
…all sorts of characters.
Later we had special story times, even though it wasn’t
anywhere near home time!
Story sessions are always special at
school so today was a wonderful day. Everyone had a
brilliant time and loved everything we
did to do with books.
We hope you enjoy reading and
sharing the books we send home with your child on a
Friday.
