b) We see it all the time , people gathering , taking pictures , holding signs all
for one cause , our rights , human rights. It was time for us to do the same , to
remind the Iraqis , our people that we do care , that we haven't forgotten and
that we're still and will be standing to defend what's rightfully ours .

Considering all the pain and the unfortunate happenings our country is going
through , doing this wasn't an option anymore it was a necessity.
Colors , is what we thought of . After some discussions and suggestions we
finally agreed that we're going to use one of these hand print signs. The signs
were to be hung in 3 different colleges , where medical students get to engage
and leave a print in celebrating the World Human Rights day .We weren't sure
about the feed back but we were hoping for the best.
We started making contacts and collecting the materials needed , Finding
colors that are easy to wash off hands and actually getting them was a priority.
Acrylic paint is what we wound up using . Decorating the sign itself with simple
drawings and poems is the other thing we had in mind . It took us a while to
arrange everything and get the approvals necessary , the sign was finally hung
in Baghdad medical college.
We hung the sign at about 11:20 on a board . As we were setting it , medical
students started to gather around , asking us what we were doing and what
was the sign for. We took the opportunity to tell them more about human rights
, what are they , how many do we have , when were they celebrated , what date
were they adopted….etc.Studentswerenowquiteinterestedinleavingaprint
but not before checking the colors first . I was personally asked to leave the
first print and then wipe off my hand in front of the audience just so they can
make sure that they won't be attending lectures with blue hands , and that's
exactly what I did.
It was time for our team to head to the lectures , we left the sing in the good
colored hands of the students , at that time only dozen hand prints were on it .
We came back after 2 hours to find that we couldn't even tell that the sign was
white in the first place , it was filled with colors , prints and notes. Teaching
these students and getting them to re believe in our rights felt as a small
victory by the end of the day .A victory that will be forever documented in that
beautiful , sincere piece of clothing.

4) Introduction:
Human rights are rights inherent to all human beings, whatever our nationality,
place of residence, sex, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, language, or
any other status.
Human Rights Day is celebrated annually across the world on 10 December, to
honour the United Nations General Assembly's adoption and proclamation, on
10 December 1948, of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights(UDHR).
IFMSA-Iraq SCORP in collaboration with SCORA celebrated the day to educate
people about human rights and their importance in building an equitable
society free of discrimination, community where everyone enjoys equal rights
despite their differences.
Idea and Preparations:
The idea was to go to a public place and talk about the articles of universal
declaration of human rights and to discuss the human rights in Iraq and it's
violation and how to improve our rights
We prepared 3 groups of people every group with the 30 articles which was
putted in a basket with sweets and green ribbons. And the fourth group from
scora team talked about women rights.
Also, we made a scrop man with stickers to fill it with suggestion from the
public to improve the human rights in Iraq.
The Event Day:
The event was held at Almansor Mall on Friday 19_12 _2014 from 3:00 pm to
7:00pm
The participant were 18 SCORPIANS and 6 SCORA-angels.
Partner organizations (e.g.: local or international NGOs):
local NGO IHAO (Iraqi health aid organization ) we held our training in their
