WORLD LEAGUE FINALS XI

Feudal Japan and the time of the Samurai will be the primary theme and will be intricately reconstructed at Reno’s GRAND SIERRA RESORT & CASINO on Friday, October 23rd and Saturday, October 24th as the LEAGUE presents the illustrious WORLD LEAGUE FINALS XI!!

Honored Warriors and Heads of Esteemed Clans from across the Americas are being summoned by The LEAGUE to partake in a Tournament Challenge to determine which select Warriors are worthy to be honored as Samurais and receive the coveted League Championship Ring in more than 200 divisions

The Samurai are Legendary Warriors of Ancient Japan. They were noble fighters that battled enemies with their swords and intricate armor. They followed a strict moral code that gov-erned their entire life, aptly coined “Bushido” or “Way of the Warrior”. This code was at the heart of the beliefs and conduct of the Samurai.

The motto at this year’s WORLD LEAGUE FINALS XI is “The Way Of The Warrior: Loyalty. Tradition. Honor.”

Loyalty: Warriors are encouraged to pull energy and remain dedicated for their Country, their Dojo, their Teammates, and their Goals

Tradition: The concept of Tradition, as the notion of holding on to origins of the past to help

with successes of the future.

Honor: Fighting the true Warrior way with Honesty, Fairness, and Integrity.

Come take part of this eclectic display of BUSHIDO as Great Warriors of our time show heroic and triumphant performances throughout this two-day competition and try to become modern day Samurai!!

“The Way Of The Warrior: Loyalty, Traditition, Honor”

WORLD LEAGUE FINALS XI Formal Invitation

Hundreds of Sport Martial Art Athletes will collide in spirited competition in the race for the coveted LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE RING in more than 200 Martial Art Divisions.

Throughout the 2015 season, athletes have battled courageously and accrued vital divisional points. Hundreds have earned an invitation to the LEAGUE FINALS XI and secured their divisional seeding. All that’s left is the excitable and high strung confrontations that will all take place in Reno, Nevada!!

This weekend will be an action packed 2 day Championship Event!! All Kata, Continuous Sparring, Flag Sparring, and Chess Team Fighting Championships will take place on Friday, October 23rd. While all Point Sparring Finale’s will take place during the daytime on

Saturday, October 24th.

This is an Open Championship Finale! All athletes may attend. Players who did not earn a Divisional Seed may enter as a Divisional Wildcard and attempt to upset the competition.

It will all boil down to who can execute in “Crunch Time”!?! Who can perform under pressure? Who can give it their Best and have the Drive and the Passion to beat the rest! Who will fly like an eagle and soar above the competition?

The LEAGUE Finals are always a stomach churner, as competitors will need to be at their Best to earn the gleaming Championship Ring given out to every single Divisional Winner. The host site, the Grand Sierra Resort & Casino will be full of athletes vying for the ultimate prize.

World League Finals XI is the Championship Game to the 2015 League season. All regular season results go out the window. It all boils down to who possesses the most Perserverance, the most Confidence, and the most Execution. Who will win it?!

We just need to WAIT and SEE.....

“The Way Of The Warrior: Loyalty, Traditition, Honor”

Player Seeding WORLD LEAGUE FINALS XI

All World League Finals XI Seedings will be set on October 1, 2015. Please submit and report any Point Discrepancies or late point submissions by this date. All points will be finalized and posted on the LEAGUE website: www.TheLeagueMA.com

Competitors who participated in the 2015 League season events can view their official seeding in each division on the website under the ‘Ratings’ link.

The 2015 World League Finals XI will feature athletes from different Conferences across the Americas. The League established Conferences to its 2015 Season Schedule including:

Kata Divisions (Traditional Katas, Creative/Musical Katas, and Weapons) will feature the “Seed Preference” element, while there will be “Double Elimination” for seeded players in Point Sparring Divisions.

The Order of Performance in Kata Divisions in the Finals will be determined by Seed Preference. This means the #1 seed in each kata division will have first choice as far as when they perform their kata (perform first, second, third, etc). After, the #2 seed chooses their performance position, followed by the #3 seed, etc.

Wildcard Seeds in katas will be randomly filled in the remaining positions by the Official Ring Coordinator.

In Point Sparring, all seeded players receive Double Elimination status. This means they must lose twice before being officially eliminated from the Division.

The “Wildcard” option will be at play in point sparring as well. A competitor who falls below the Finals Qualifying Requirement will enter the World League Finals XI as a Wildcard Seed. A Wildcard seed has the lowest possible seed in each division. Wildcards are eligible to compete for the Title. Wildcard Seeds only receive SINGLE ELIMINATION status throughout all rounds in sparring.

Players in Continuous Sparring will be seeded similar to Point Sparring. All continuous sparring divisions are operated in Single Elimination format throughout all rounds.

First Timer’s Sparring and First Timer’s Kata is a No-Seeded random drawing division.

JUNIOR FIRST TIMER TITLE COMPETITIONThere is no better setting for a First Timer Experience than the WORLD LEAGUE FINALS to kickoff your young child’s Sport Martial Arts career. This is a fantastic opportunity for inexperienced sport martial artists to partake in a championship environment.

If you or your young athlete are perhaps skeptical or timid about participation in a martial arts tournament, register in our specialized first timer’s division where future superstars can ease their way into the mainstream “regular divisions” with this pleasing competition experience.

The first timer’s division is designed to be a division where inexperienced or martial artists new to the LEAGUE can compete in a non-threatening environment. In Katas, the first timer athlete runs through the same routine as a “regular division” athlete, including reporting into the judges, performing their kata, and receiving scores from each judge.

In first timer sparring, athletes fight other new comers for a one round fight. Contact is controlled to a minimum.

It is a tremendous way for Rookies to build up their confidence with so much positive support by judges and the onlooking crowd. Athletes also get used to the overall tournament feel and environment and gain valuable experience performing in front of a crowd.

As a reminder there are NO AT THE DOOR REGISTRATION and you must PRE REGISTER for First Timer Divisions!

Flag Sparring is designed for juniors who are being introduced to the open competition scene. It is a fantastic way to get junior martial artists on the competition floor executing characteristics necessary to transition into point combat sparring.

In Flag Sparring competitors learn how to maintain competitiveness, close distance, develop timing, generate aggressiveness, elude and improve footwork, block and counterattack, and countless other characteristics that make up a skillful point fighter.

Sign your Junior Martial Artists up and have them join the Finals Competition in this hybrid competition that is Skill Building, Fun, and Competitive!! Remember, winners will win a World League Finals Title!!!
