World Meat consumption by 2030
4th - 8th grade Learn how meat is produced today and latest innovations that can make meat like products from plant based proteins. What are the major challenges with food production now and how would you solve these issues?

The world population consumes on average 102.5 pounds of meat per person. 8.8 Billion
chickens are consumed per year in the world. That is more than one chicken for every person in
the world. Now, with modern technology, scientists were able to produce plant based meat that
has the same taste, texture and proteins as regular meat.
Your Goals:
•Learn as much as you can about food production and meat.
•Understand and explain how much food is wasted between farm and consumer.
•Provide solutions to reduce food waste.
•What ideas do you have that will help sustainable farming?
