It is with great joy that we publish this brochure which we consider a window into the World of Sudio. Our team has been working for years in order to deliver perfection in every detail. By using Scandinavian engineering acumen, the soundpieces made by Sudio are crafted without any trade-offs. While Sudio is still a young company, so far its journey has been fantastic thanks to the innovation and hard work of our loyal and devoted team of professionals.
In this brochure we aim to introduce you to Sudio, our philosophy, quality assurance, manufacturing and design process. We want you to learn more about our designer, Mats Wallsten, who has made our brand stand out and earn
its rightful place in the ever-changing earphone industry. In the last couple of pages of our brochure, we showcase two of our models, the Klang and TVÅ. We are very proud of their performance and overall design and we believe you’re also going to love them as much as we do.
Finally, the last page of our brochure contains contact information and social media links where you can read the latest updates and learn more about the newest products from Sudio.

Founded in Stockholm, Sweden
We quit our day jobs to build the product we wished already existed. At the time being there were no earphones that could be admired the way other accessories are. We could all relate to the every day enrichment beautifully designed items such as watches, wallets and sunglasses can contribute to - when gathering the essentials for the day. Items that have been crafted and designed without trade-offs.
Sudio is disrupting the industry by transforming earphones from being an electronics product to become a wearable accessory with studio quality sound. The watch industry has been used as inspiration where the product has evolved from serving the purpose of showing time to equally important being an accessory to complement an outfit.
Stockholm - The Capital of Scandinavia In the last few decades, the city of Stockholm has fostered and nurtured several iconic companies which today are considered synonymous with its vibrant and vivid atmosphere. In the same way it has impelled so many of them to achieve incredible success, we were also inspired by it and embraced its heritage which has helped us get to where we are today.
Sudio - The NameThe name Sudio comes from an incident when one of the founders spotted the musician Phil Collins in New York having problems with his headphones. With the frustration of not yet being able to offer any better alternative to Phil the only words he could out were: “trust me I know the feeling”, as they shared eye contact. The name Sudio is an homage to Phil Collins song Sussudio and the determination of succeeding with the venture rendered from the bitter sweet anecdote.
Mats Wallsten was born on the Swedish island Lidingö in 1988. The family of Wallsten has a long tradition of designers and Mats began working for his father’s yacht design house at the age of six. In time, Mats knew that he’d like to pursue a creative career and chose to attend one of Scandinavia’s most prestigious design schools, the University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm.
Cutting edge engineering techniques and elegant minimalistic designs are the primary elements Mats has embodied in Sudio’s portfolio. He believes that a product should be intuitive and ready to use at all time.
You can see an example of Mats’ philosophy being employed in our stay-in-ear feature (featured in the Klang model) which lets the user wear the earphones like an accessory around the neck, ready to use at all time. Stay-in-ear prolongs their lifespan, since the earphones wear out every time they are squeezed down in one’s pocket.

Sound Philosophy
Sound is vibrations which propagates through a medium - air. The objective of an earphone is to mimic the original vibrations which were generated when the piece of sound was recorded.
The most common mistake when taking on the challenge of reproducing sound is to forget that it is a human being that is subjectively going to judge whether or not the sound is high fidelity. To understand the art one has to study the psychoacoustics of the human species, effects which really matters.

Handmade
Making earphones is still an art of craftsmanship. While machines have come a long way, humans still conquer machines. The human eye cannot be fooled and Sudio has chosen to stay with handmade details for the most part of the production process. Call us old-fashioned, we call it craftsmanship.

Each Sudio product comes with a Quality Assurance Card which contains a unique serial number. Therefore, each card can be tracked to a series of quality assurance tests. The high quality is a symbol of the fine reputation of the Trademark.

Environmental Tests
In our testing facility, each product is subjected to a series of extreme tests to ensure they can withstand the day-to-day use of our customers without exception. Tests are being made in temperatures of -20°C to simulate the prevailing climate in Sweden.
The results are saved for future research and development and are linked to the unique serial number on the corresponding quality card.
