✓ Migrate workloads to public clouds when feasible, and invest in hybrid cloud solutions. Create long-term, holistic strategies to implement could-native architecture.

✓ Use flexible consumption models to implement private clouds, consolidate yourdatacenter, and reduce capex and opex.

✓ Embrace software-defined infrastructure when it satisfies the SLA requirements. Virtual machines, containers, and hyperconverged infrastructure must all be part of yourarchitecture.

✓ Treat infrastructure platform security with the same priority as the security of software and data management stacks.

✓ Train/rehire IT employees in programming, DevOps, containers, and cloud architectureskills.

✓ Invest in data-centric innovation teams with staffing spanning analytics, data stewards, lines of business, application owners, and digital/innovation executives.
