1-800-ISI-TEAM — PO Box C, Colorado Springs, CO 80901 — www.isionline.org

After eighteen years at ISI, Susan and I find ourselves at a very pivotal point in ISI history.

God makes all things beautiful in His time. We look back with praise to our awesome God for allowing us the privilege of being part of a period of huge fruitfulness. We look back with thankfulness to our ISI family who have faithfully fulfilled their roles to advance the cause of reaching international students—board members, staff, donors, volunteers, and prayer partners. Our hearts are filled with sincere gratitude to all.

We look forward with fervent faith and confidence that the Lord will use the leadership of Dr. Seng Tan to move ISI to next levels in advancing the mission.

Our sincere prayer is that the Lord be glorified through the leadership transition and beyond, so His Name is exalted. May the blessing of the Lord be abundant, and the future fruit be greater than ever before in His ongoing plan until we all reach the great crowd in Revelation, some from every tribe and nation, worshipping the Lord Jesus Christ together.

“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen” (Ephesians 3:20-21 NLT).

God’s best to you,

Dr. Douglas ShawPresident/CEO

Whenever we hear of someone called by God as a missionary to Africa or to the Middle East, we hardly find that odd. But called to America, the country with the largest Christian population in the world in sheer numbers? That doesn’t seem to make sense!

Yet, that’s where we found ourselves this July when we moved to Colorado Springs! Settled comfortably in Singapore and busy with church and work, we weren’t looking for change. Then the LORD said to us: “You will do more than restore the people of Israel to me. I will make you a light to the Gentiles, and you will bring my salvation to the ends of the earth” (Isaiah 49:6 NLT). How could we say “No” to that?! How could we but only say “Yes” to God, who’s rescued us from the

dominion of darkness and brought us into His kingdom of light (Colossians 1:13; Ephesians 5:8)?!

Today, America accounts for 1.3 million international students—a quarter of the world’s international student population—making it the top host destination for internationals. American universities have become mission fields white unto harvest! Together with committed volunteers and partners like you, ISI is deeply engaged in the work of sharing Christ’s love with students and serving them as Jesus’ hands and feet.

But the work is far from completed! There’s still a lot of land to be possessed, as it were. Not unlike how a gaggle of 12 wild geese we spotted in the driveway one day to the ISI Home Office “took hold of ISI’s territory”—like the 12 tribes of Israel did over the Promised Land—we are trusting God to aid us to take spiritual hold of the nations in our midst, that they may know His salvation and give Him glory!

Join us on this amazing journey!
