WORLDWIDE LE ADER IN HDPE PIPING , CUSTOM FIT TINGS & STRUC T URE S
With our decades of experience working with HDPE Pipe, we have had the opportunity to serve almost every applicable industry out there. Each industry comes with its own set of challenges and solutions. Systems are as diverse as the industries they serve but are commonly used for transporting various types of water from place to place, transporting hazardous chemicals or materials, transporting industrial wastes or slurry’s, or even containing natural gas. No matter what your piping project calls for, chances are HDPE is an excellent choice for your long term needs. Whether you’ve used HDPE in your projects before, or this is your first time, we invite you to explore our capabilities more in depth.
Of course nothing beats speaking with a real life person. If you have the time and really want to get some answers, we invite you to contact our team today. We are happy to answer any questions you may have.
High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) has had a long and distinguished history serving the needs of the Oil & Gas industries. Its no wonder since HDPE has the lowest repair frequency per mile of pipe per year compared with all other pressure pipe materials used for urban gas distribution. In America and Canada today, it is estimated that over 90% of pipe used for gas applications are plastic. Of that, well over 99% is HDPE. Why is there such a unanimous use of this material? For starters, HDPE is extremely lightweight and flexible so it works in a variety of conditions. It can come in coils which minimizes the number of joints needed in the entire system. The pipe is joined together using
mechanical fittings, by thermal fusion, or even electro-fusion, all of which creates an air tight seal. PE also has an extremely high resistance to harsh conditions such as cold temperatures, abrasion, bending, internal pressure, point loading and squeeze-off. High Country Fusion prides itself of building long term relationships that benefit our partners in the Oil & Gas industries. With offices strategically located throughout the United States, we are well equipped to help you with any of your piping needs. Contact our team today to get started or to ask us questions on how HDPE can benefit your next project.

The benefits of High Density Polyethylene piping for Potable Water applications are many. HDPE provides for superior construct-ability, 100% leak free systems, excellent chemical and abrasion resistance, cost effective shipping and installation, and a Hazen Williams C Factor of 150 that does not change over time due to corrosion or tuberculation. Slowly but surely, HDPE is becoming the choice material for municipalities and organizations in need of long term water supply systems.
The combination of benefits it provides have only begun to be realized. Based on Federal Highway Administration reports, United States utilities are spending an average of $36 Billion annually on the protection of corroding pipes. This fact alone demonstrates why HDPE is the choice for your water project. HDPE doesn’t corrode or tuberculate so it is an essential element in reducing your overall maintenance budget and increasing your billable water supply.
POTABLE WATER
High Density Polyethylene is used in a variety and ever growing number of industrial applications. Typical applications include transport of organic & inorganic chemicals, hazardous waste, waste water, fire loops & mains, Liquor, bleaching, and caustic acid lines, tailing lines and more. HDPE is well suited for these environments due to its corrosion and abrasion resistance, flexibility, ease of installation, and its ability to maintain a high flow coefficient throughout its service life of 50-100 years. One other very important detail paramount to industrial applications: HDPE does not leak. This is very important when transporting liquids that can be dangerous or costly if not completely contained. HDPE is well suited for pressures up to 300 psi and constant service temperatures up to 140° F.

High Density Polyethylene Pipe (HDPE) has proven itself for over 30 years as the product of choice for various mining applications. The characteristics of HDPE make it ideal for things like slurry processing, water processing, heap leaching, solution mining, tailings transportation, pit & mine dewatering, depressurization and dust suppression. For demanding and harsh environments commonly found at mining sites, HDPE can’t be beat. HDPE has a very high resistance to most harsh chemicals and can handle acids ranging from low pH acids to high pH caustic solutions. It is also very resistant to abrasions and will not break or shatter without significant outside force. HDPE is semi-rigid meaning it can withstand high external loads as well as high internal pressure surges. In addition, it is flexible and has a tendency to expand with pressure surges. This increases the life of the pipeline and reduces the overall cost of maintenance.
MINING APPLICATIONS
High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) is a proven solution for Sanitary Sewer applications. It has been used over 30 years in municipal and industrial settings. HDPE offers very distinct advantages over the alternatives, including complete elimination of exfiltration & infiltration (fusion joint), total resistance to corrosion, abrasion, cost effective handling, shipping, and installation. HDPE is used for a variety of sewer system applications including forced sewer mains, manholes, pipeline rehabilitation, slip lining, trenchless pipeline replacement, pipe bursting, combined storm/sewer lines, sludge
lines, intake and outfall lines, culvert relining, digester lines, laterals and more. Federal Highway Administration reports the United States utilities are spending an average of $36 Billion on protection of corroding pipes annually. This demonstrates why HDPE is the best choice for sanitary sewer projects. HDPE doesn’t corrode or tuberculate so it is an essential element in reducing maintenance budgets. Additionally, HDPE eliminates the exfiltration of sewer materials in the community’s environment, and infiltration of water in sewage system and treatment facilities.

FUSION WELDING EQUIPMENT RENTAL
Look no further than High Country Fusion! We know Fusion, and we have one of the largest and most diverse sets of fusion machine fleets available today.
High Country Fusion is a proud member of the McElroy Certified Rental Program. What does this mean specifically? It means that in addition to our own stringent set of quality requirements, we also partner with McElroy to certify our Fusion Rental Fleet. We adhere to a comprehensive checklist for every machine we own. All machines are constantly maintained to be in the best working order, and are reviewed from top to bottom after every single rental. Representatives from McElroy constantly audit our fleet to ensure we are in compliance with their strict requirements.
In addition, we can offer our own Certified McElroy Technitians to help you with your butt welding job. These professionals are factory trained by McElroy and have years upon years of experience working on these machines. By investing in the best people, we are able to maintain the best equipment possible.
