INTRODUCTIONConsidering the present state of the economy, it is pleasing and encouraging to see that we have continued to move forward and develop as a united group. This, in conjunction with the success of the 2011 conference, provides us with tremendous momentum to grow, diversify and develop as a sustainable business into the future.
Therefore at our 2012 conference we are going to look to the future and allow ourselves to dream - so what better place to do this than Daydream Island!
The weekend will be about allowing ourselves to think creatively about our business and the opportunities that can arise by freeing up our imagination and allowing us to think outside the square. From the beginning Worldwide has always been innovative and our on-going success depends on our ability to dream of new and improved business opportunities that will allow Worldwide to grow and prosper well into the future.
Our destination for this conference is a paradise and despite the fact that we need to do a little work we have deliberately built in some “me” time for you to enjoy Daydream Island and reward yourself with some well deserved R&R.
Until August I wish you all success for 2012.
Yours sincerely,
Rob Dallimore
AGENDA / ITINERARYThe conference will begin on Friday 10th of August 2012 with our Multi Centre Forum. This will offer attendees the opportunity to discuss the
issues that multiple centre owners face in managing staff and day to day operations. Friday evening will be a low key informal beach BBQ for
you to relax and mingle with your colleagues after your journey to the island.
This weekend our venue incorporates the whole island and in your free time we would encourage you to explore. There will be some work
to do while you are here of course and we hope that we have arranged the right mix of work and pleasure for you. Saturday will begin with
breakfast at Waterfalls restaurant followed by the conference opening at 9:00am. We have deliberately scheduled our daily sessions to finish in
time to provide you with time to enjoy some sun and explore your surroundings. Saturday night will be a fun evening of “Pirates and Wenches”
at the Fishbowl Tavern, complete with music, dancing and a little informal karaoke if you wish.
Sunday night will be our official conference dinner and awards night held at Southend Cinema and a fitting way to say congratulations and
thanks for all the hard work over the past year. It will also be your chance to say farewell to your colleagues and friends before departing for
home on Monday.
For those of you continuing your stay, you will have the opportunity to embark on a half day cruise to Whitehaven Beach on Monday afternoon.
Boasting crystal clear aqua waters and pristine white silica sand stretching for over seven kilometres, this is an opportunity not to be missed.
DRESSDress code for the conference day
sessions is casual. The Friday night Beach
BBQ is casual of course. Saturday night
we would encourage you to think “Pirates”
and or “Wenches” and dress accordingly if
you wish to join in the fun. For our Sunday
night dinner we would ask that you spruce
yourself up a little and dress to impress.
We are anticipating the weather to be
fantastic however it can still get a little cool
in the evening despite the location.
CONFERENCE FORMATWe ask that you attend all planned
conference meetings and functions and
be there on time and ready to get to work.
We have deliberately made daily sessions
shorter this year to give you time to explore
and relax with plenty of free time between
the end of each day and evening functions.
SOCIAL ONLY ATTENDEESPlease let us know in plenty of time what
sessions or functions partners and family
members will be attending so that we
don’t charge you for events or functions
unnecessarily.
CONFERENCE ACTIVITIESThe conference activities will include a variety
of information and thought provoking sessions
designed to free your thinking about business
and break the mould of past habits.
There will be a number of presentations along
with a key note speaker who specialises in
inspiring people to think more creatively. These
sessions will be accompanied by workshops to
help put new ideas into practice.
