[@CROSSINGSOKC]

We’re so glad you’ve chosen to join us in worship today. Over the next hour, we will sing a few songs, join together in prayer, and hear a message that speaks to how truth and faith intersect with our lives today. In a world that pulls us in so many directions, this time of worship helps us remember what is most important as we turn our hearts and minds toward God.

We’d love to know you’re here today, so take a moment to fill out the Connection Card found in this worship guide, which includes a place where you can let us know about prayer concerns and/or questions you might have. Place the Connection Card into the offering plate/basket or into a BLUE BOX, found at each exit. Thanks again for gathering with us today at Crossings!

What Is Kindness?

Two examples of extreme kindness:• Luke 10:30-37• 1 Samuel 20:13-15; 2 Samuel 9

“Instead, be KIND to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.” – Ephesians 4:32

“And … God can always point to us as examples of the incredible wealth of His favor and kindness toward us, as shown in all He has done for us through Christ Jesus.” – Ephesians 2:7

“Don’t you realize how kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you? Or don’t you care? Can’t you see how kind He has been in giving you time to turn from your sin?” – Romans 2:4

“His merciful kindness is great toward us ... ” – Psalm 117:2

“You know how full of love and kindness our Lord Jesus Christ was. Though He was very rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, so that by His poverty He could make you rich.”

– 2 Corinthians 8:9

“But then God our Savior showed us His kindness and love. He saved us, not because of the good things we did, but because of His mercy. He washed away our sins and gave us a new life through the Holy Spirit. He generously poured out the Spirit upon us because of what Jesus Christ our Savior did. He declared us not guilty because of His great kindness.”

–Titus 3:4-6

“Jesus was kind. When He came into the world, there were few institutions of mercy. No hospitals or shelters for the poor. It was a cruel world. Jesus changed that through His example of kindness. The only people with whom He dealt harshly were the hypocritical religious leaders.” – Billy Graham

Kindness from a loving God:Don’t you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you? Does this mean nothing to you? Can’t you see that His kindness is intended to turn you from your sin? ROMANS 2:4

THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT IS KINDNESS.Do not let kindness and truth leave you ... PROVERBS 3:3
