Lord, speak to me that I may speak In living echoes of your tone;As you have sought, so let me seek Your erring children lost and lone.

O fill me with your fullness, Lord, Until my very heart o’erflowIn kindling thought and glowing word Your love to tell, your praise to show.

The Call to Worship .............................................................. from Matthew 11:28-30† Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,

For I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

The Lord be with you.

And with your spirit.

Let us worship God!

The Assurance of Pardoning Grace ........................................................ James 4:7-10

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.

The Offering* (Please take a moment to sign the attendance register.)

The Pastoral Prayer and The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.

*Online giving is available at firstpresaugusta.org and at the giving kiosk in the Narthex.

Pastor: This is a true statement and worthy of full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. Let us confess our sins, together.

People: O most merciful Lord and Savior, on the tree of the Cross you provided salvation for sinful man. Where death once existed, now exists life. We confess that the terrible cross is rightfully ours because of our own sins. We believe the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. Gracious Father, forgive our sins and give us true repentance through your Holy Spirit for the sake of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen.

O measureless Might! Ineffable Love! While angels delight to hymn you above,And humbler creation, though feeble their lays, With true adoration shall lisp to your praise.

Offertory – Eyes on the Prize ............................................................................Groves

Paul and Silas, bound in jail,Got no money for to go their bail,Keep your eyes on the prize, hold on.Paul and Silas thought they’d lost,The dungeon shook and the chains fell off, Keep your eyes on the prize, hold on.

Freedom’s name is mighty sweet, and one day soon we are gonna meet. Keep your eyes on the prize, hold on. Got my hand on the Gospel plow, Won’t take nothing for my journey now. Keep your eyes on the prize, hold on.

The way is slow, and we’ve so far to go. Keep your eyes on the prize, hold on.

Offering and Prayer of Dedication

Testimony – Children’s Ministry Video

Melanie Larson

Only chain a man can standIs that chain of hand in hand,Keep your eyes on the prize, hold on. Ain’t no man on earth controlThe weight of glory on a human soul. Keep your eyes on the prize, hold on.

When you see a man walk free, It makes you dream of Jubilee. When you see a child walk free, It makes you dream of Jubilee. When you see a family free,It makes you dream of Jubilee.Keep your eyes on the prize, hold on.
