Hypafix® Wide area fixation Hypafix is a self-adhesive, non-woven fabric tape for wide area fixation of wound dressings, instruments, probes and catheters. Hypafix® Transparent Waterproof dressing fixation Available on a roll, Hypafix Transparent is a non-sterile film which protects dressings from contamination whilst allowing skin to breathe. Calcium sodium alginate dressings

Cutimed Alginate is a calcium sodium alginate (80% calcium and 20% sodium) made out of natural seaweed. The alginate component enables the dressing to absorb up to 20 times its own weight in exudate. Cutimed Alginate offers a broad performance spectrum, but is particularly useful for moderate to heavily exuding wounds, shallow wounds, lesions with irregular margins, or deeper sites that are hard to dress.

Antimicrobial Dressings

Cutimed® Sorbact® Cutimed Sorbact is the first wound dressing that binds microbes irreversibly using a technology known as DACC (dialkylcarbamoylchloride) – a derivative of a natural fatty acid - with which all dressings are coated. Most bacterial and fungi found within a wound express cell surface hydrophobicity (CSH). The DACC coating also provides the dressings with very strong hydrophobic properties. As such, in a moist wound environment, bacteria and fungi associate with the dressing, becoming irreversibly bound to it in the process. Cutimed Sorbact is effective in all wounds where the primary goal is to reduce the bacterial burden, regardless of their aetiology including: a) chronic wounds e.g. diabetic foot, leg and pressure ulcers b) post-operative dehisced wounds c) traumatic wounds d) after incision or excision of fistulae or abscesses It can also be used prophylactically.
