The Crown WP 2300 Series carries the weight of Crown’s

reputation for toughness and value. We don’t take pallet

truck design lightly. And we won’t risk our

reputation, even on entry-level products.

The WP 2300 Series is designed with the same attention

to integrity and performance as Crown’s full line of

counterbalanced, reach, stockpicker and turret

lift trucks. Across the line, Crown’s design philosophy

remains the same – respect for the operator, respect for

the application and respect for management. It’s achieved

by delivering the greatest value and performance at the

lowest total cost of ownership.

While other manufacturers build entry-level products

like pallet trucks with a design and features that

ensure a low price point, Crown chooses not to

compromise quality. This difference means you

can count on a decreasing cost of ownership

from the first day you put

the Crown WP 2300

Series to work. People who

buy cheaper pallet trucks

from Crown’s competitors end up paying more with

an increasing cost of ownership from day one. They

also pay more over time due to differences in

performance. Operators tell us they

prefer the Crown WP 2300 Series

because it allows them to work faster, with far more

efficiency, comfort and safety features. Compare the

differences, and you’ll understand why many of Crown’s

largest fleet owners began their relationship with a Crown walkie pallet truck.

to carry Crown’s reputation.

Ten features

that make the X10

Handle ten times better than

the competition. The innovative

Crown X10 Handle simplifies

control, while boosting operator

safety and productivity. Operator

performance improves with easy-

to-use features, minimizing hand

and wrist movements. Tactile and visual

differentiation of controls provides a natural,

more efficient interface for left-hand and right-

hand operation. In addition, the design provides

exceptional durability and serviceability.

Moveahead.

Crown innovation is your advantage. Crown’s leadership in

innovation is the direct result of finding new ways to help your operators

work faster, safer and more efficiently.

The WP 2300 Series carriesforward Crown’s tradition of productivity-enhancing innovations. Crown pioneeredthe use of side stance instand-up, counterbalancedand narrow-aisle reach trucks, significantly improving operatorhandling, comfort and visibility. We evolved the concept further and moved productivityahead again with thesit/lean/stand design.

These improvements, likeother Crown innovations, resultfrom in-depth analysis of awide range of applications, ergonomic considerations and operator needs and preferences. They’re alsoextensively tested and validatedin Crown’s testing facilities and in demanding, real-worldapplications. It’s how Crownbrings performance and durability together.

Another innovative conceptthat took the industry by storm was the Crown multi-function control handle. It provides smooth, blendedcontrol of lift truck functions,

improving comfortand control for the operator while

saving valuable time. Based on theseinnovations, Crown

developed even greatercontrol advantages for

pallet truck operators with the revolutionary X10 Handle.

Tough applications

demand Crown.Pallet trucks get used by more workers and take more abuse than

any other lift truck. That’s why Crown makes the WP 2300 Series

performance-ready and application-tough.

The Crown WP 2300 Seriesout-performs any competitor’struck, whether you considerfeatures, endurance, value orcost of ownership. What drivesCrown to excel, is a focus on application requirements, not on the competition. Forexample, the WP 2300 Serieshas the most intuitive, easy-to-use, ergonomic controls ever

developed for a pallet truck, making it easy for a variety ofworkers with varying skill levelsto use. You’ll also find 48 percent more steel in the WP 2300 Series compared toits leading competitor, becausepallet trucks take a beatingover rough floors, dock boardsand in and out of trailers. In many applications, pallettrucks handle heavy, off-

centered loads. To meet thatchallenge, the WP 2300 features dual lift cylinders and a torsion bar for superiorstability and strength. Theseare just a few of the perform-ance, safety and durabilityadvantages built into the WP 2300 Series to answeryour real-world applications.

Lift truck fleet users within the largest warehousingand distribution centers requirereliable, easy-to-use pallet trucks tostart or finish the material-handling flow.

Heavy industrial/manufacturingenvironments demand high capacities and long-term durability to match the challenges.

Thousands of applications with-out receiving/shipping docksrequire delivery from truck to curbside via lift gates.

The relentless demands of fooddistribution require versatile anddependable pallet handling solutions.

Crown’s competitors will tell you that the WP 2300 Series costs more.

Don’t be fooled by hidden costs. Crown’s durability makes your total cost

of ownership the lowest by far after the first 100 days.

Compare the costs...after100+days. Crown’s drive unit,

is substantially largerthan the competitors’,improving durability.Large top bearingssecurely hold the driveunit in place and absorbshock. In addition, alarger drive motor onthe WP 2300 Seriesextends drive motor life.

A low purchase price for a pallet truck can be misleadingif you’re looking for the lowest

overall cost. Competitorsof the Crown WP 2300

Series build theirtrucks cheaper andcharge you extra

for options that are standard with Crown.

So you’re forced to payextra charges or high re-

placement and repair costsshortly after you purchase theirtrucks. Handles, for example, are often replaced on othermanufacturers’ trucks withinthe first months of operation.

They don’t have Crown’sstrong structural handle designwith plenty of steel and a largerobust yoke designed for trailerwork and other tough applica-tions. That’s just one example. There are 10 to 15 otherexamples where the durable, sturdy design of the CrownWP 2300 Series will save youconsiderable costs in a shortamount of time.

The solid structural design of the X10 Handle providesdurable performance in the toughest applications. It’s a criticaldesign difference, because power pallet trucks are often used inextremely tight spaces where handles frequently impact fixedobjects. Competitors’ pallet truck handles, with plastic compo-nents that are easily destroyed by impacts, can’t measure up tothe standard of durability set by the WP 2300 Series.

The X10 Handle has been tested to the extreme in rigorous impact tests to prove its strength and durability.Competitors’ handles shattered upon impact when put to the same test.

The X10 Handle’s solid construction gives you durable performance in trailers and other tough applications.

The WP 2300 fea-tures heavy-gaugesteel throughout thechassis, side panelsand covers, unlike thegenerous use of plastic onother manufacturers’ trucks. This provides a protectivebarrier around valuable components such as motors, hydraulics and electronics. Thecontoured design helps minimizeimpacts with fixed objects, reducingpower unit damage.

Critical internal components require sturdy protection that plastic covers cannot provide.

Solid steel outside the WP 2300 Series protects the inside from fork intrusion or other damage.

Stability and durability advantages result from a design that couples the torsion bar with dual lift cylinders. You will not find the investment in such a design on competitors’ trucks.

You gain notable durability, performance and cost advantages due to the larger drive tire, torsion bar, standard stability bars and T1 steel wear plates of the WP 2300 Series. Along with durability benefits come extra stability and anti-sway features that help reduce associated costs of product damage.

Seethedifference.

Crown’s lift system adds stability on uneven surfaces, across dock boards or with off-center loads.

Let Crown demonstrate the differences to you.

The WP 2300 Series features the toughest fork assembly andlinkage in the industry. Crown’s“C” channel design and pull rod linkage system, combined with heavy-duty 5/16" fork metal, ensurestrength and long life.

Page 11: WP 2300 Series Feature Brochure - demos.i303.comdemos.i303.com/momatt/frontend/application/assets/documents/fic… · from Crown’s competitors end up paying more with an increasing

The Crown WP 2300 Series features a load wheel designthat incorporates a debris guardinto the assembly. This preventsdebris such as stretch wrap, plasticstrapping and packing tape from building up around the axle, whichcould cause bearing and wheel failure.

The T1 steel wear plate features the same kind of steel used on the tips of bulldozer blades. This provides additional strength in a high impact area whereuneven floor surfaces and dock boards take their toll on other trucks.

Replaceable wear plates protect the WP 2300 Series from costly repairs.

Uniquely designed to protect the forks, the riser axle on the WP 2300 Series is located at the highest point possible. This eliminates frequent repairs, common on other trucks, where the riser axle is damaged by constant contact withdock boards, pallets and uneven floors.

The smooth, rounded fork tips of the WP 2300 Series are boxed-in,which provides greater strength andkeeps contaminants out. Crown’s pull-rod design also reduces forces thatcould bend the rod. These featureseliminate costly fork repairs typical onother trucks.

Adjustable forks on the WP 2300Series simplify pallet entry, reducingwear and damage.

Excellent visibility on the WP 2300Series gives operators a clear view ofthe forks and pallet loads.

Crown’s ramp hold feature improvesoperator confidence and control whenstopping on a ramp.

The contoured power unit positions operators for better maneuverability and control.

Operators quickly realizewhen a pallet truck helpsthem work faster andmore efficiently. TheCrown WP 2300 Seriesimproves productivity byrespecting the operatorat work.

Respect for the operatordrives performance.

A brake override feature enhancesmaneuverability in tight spaces byallowing travel with the handle in a nearvertical position.

The design of the Crown WP 2300 Series is based on how operators can bestrespond to the demands of challenging applications. That’s why the X10 Handlewas developed, giving operators simplified, intuitivecontrol of every pallet truckfunction, including critical safety features. The contouredpower unit and control handledesign also protect operators, positioning them for an idealworking relationship with thetruck. Crown’s innovativeramp hold feature minimizesthe possibility of unexpectedreverse travel when brakes arereleased on an incline. It alsoallows consistent speed onramps, with or without a load.

If the truck encounters anobstacle, the power boostfeature can generate up to 15 percent more power thannormally available for a fullthree seconds to overcomethe obstruction. Superiormaneuverability and visibilityresult from a compact design, contoured power unit andbrake override feature, whichallows the truck to travel withthe handle in a near verticalposition. As a result, operatorscan efficiently use the WP 2300Series in the tightest spaces.
