Abstract We have found that power transfer range is greatly extended by inserting some structures made of metal pipe, rod or disks connected with wire between two resonators of a resonator–coupled WPT system, and we have named them as WPT guides. One of them is easily designed and light-weight, and thus utilized as what they call the repeaters. In addition, more versatile applications could be devised considering its simple structures. The present report shows how it is used for power transfer through a wall, as an example.
