Tell us a little about yourself… Aida Jones

How long have you been playing polo? first lesson was 2007. played in wednesday clinics for a couple of years before being unleashed onto the field.

What is your favorite polo moment? that first time erik let me out of the arena to play on the field.

Who is your favorite polo pony (past or present) and why? the one i'm on at the moment. What do you consider your biggest polo accomplishment? this season: coming back after surgery. it was nearly a year before feeling returned in my right arm -- a long time. although i tried to stay active in the arena, i panicked when going into ride offs and at speed (ask raga, he does a killer imitation of me!). these nervous reactions were beyond discouraging. i lost confidence in myself as a rider and a polo player. i cannot give enough credit to erik, the wrightway polo crew (rachel jimmy & the grooms juan, joe, et al) and their incredible string of polo ponies.

Sean Griffin How long have you been playing polo? About 3 years now. Who is your favorite polo pony (past or present) and why? Have a few favorites out of the Wrightway ponies but captain is definitely the best! Not only is he really smooth when riding and fast but I feel a connection when out on the field and that's one of the best feelings when being on a horse. I call him my partner in crime! What do you consider your biggest polo accomplishment? For me it would probably be riding and having control of the horse considering the fact that I went into this sport without ever being on a horse before. Tell us something we dont already know about you?

I'm currently learning Arabic and really enjoy the music so much that I plan to travel to the Middle East soon to enhance my skills.

Wrightway Polo would like to thank our WONDERFUL staff… without whom, none of this would be possible!

Another big thanks to our FEARLESS leader, Erik, for a great first half at Menlo!

Programs offered for Summer 2014

As always, we offer a Wednesday night arena polo clinic at the

Horsepark in Woodside. The clinic starts with practicing different drills and skills focusing on riding, hitting

or strategy. The clinic continues with 2 coaching chukkers with a

professional on each side to practice what you’ve just learned!

Wrightway Polo offers an assortment of services to people interested in

playing both indoor or outdoor polo. Clients can lease horses for chukkers at

the Horsepark as well as Menlo on a seasonal basis. Already own your own horse? No problem. Wrightway Polo offers boarding, high quality care and transportation to polo at the Menlo

Polo club and Horsepark.
