•Bullet points are good

•Say what you need to say and no more or less

•Be specific and use links to online evidence

•Have your teachers work smart so that there is stuff in the online areas to provide as evidence

•Collect data that shows the degree of change in schools - e.g. all teachers, just lead teachers, 20% stretching the boundaries 60% trialing and reflecting and improving 20% heads in the sand and about to be brought into an extra support programme - then provide sample of type of work being achieved from each.

1.2.1 Liaise with the National Facilitator assigned to this project;

What did we do? Who was involved? What was the outcome?

1.2.2.A Report on your progress towards achieving the first of your elected programme goals

Cluster Programme Goals Copy the relevant goals from your contract or variation action plan for 2010

Success Indicators list your success indicators here

Mid-year review Reply to each of the following points (a, b, c, d) 1 What progress has been made towards achieving these goals? b. What evidence supports this? c. What are the key lessons for the cluster? d. What are the next steps towards achieving the outcome?

Page 5: Writing succinct and meaty milestone reports

About a half to one page statement about progress across the cluster with some data if appropriate e.g. % of change across teachers in the cluster. No need for individual school comments but should cover the types of work being achieved. If using a Google doc schools could jot notes in there during the term for writing up the cluster statement in May.

a. What progress has been made towards achieving these goals?

Page 6: Writing succinct and meaty milestone reports

b. What evidence supports this?

XX School - We have completed an audit of our infrastructure and have prepared a list of work to be undertaken. Budgets have been prepared for purchases over next three years tied to learning intentions. We have begun drafting a strategic plan using Google docs.

http://docs.google.com/xxschoolstrategicplan

XXX School - Strategic plan completed. See http://xxxschool.wikispaces.com/strategic+plan

XXXX School

Etc.

Schools listed and each includes a few sentences and links to evidence

c. What are the key lessons for the cluster?

•An audit is helpful in identifying current status and where to next•The strategic plan should be revisited regularly and modified as needed - new options as they come along etc.•You need to know what type of learning you want for students before making purchase decisions - network status alone is not a basis for budget.

Think of key lessons as being “if only I knew then what I know now” for clusters following you - related to the particular goal.

d. What are the next steps towards achieving the outcome?

Schools to develop•Staff notice book for identifying any infrastructure or technical issues for resolution•Booking system for computer pod•Data on use being made by students of peripherals e.g. cameras/ Flip videos to inform possible future purchases•XXXX School infrastructure audit to be completed

Cluster statement - may include some school specific info.

b. Learning@SchoolReport on the impact of your cluster’s attendance at the 2010 Learning at School Conference and on how this has influenced your programme.

•Not a list of what attended

•Not about the dinner etc

•Bullet point what each attendee has done since being back in their schools or how the thinking has changed as a result of attendance.

•Include a link to page in wiki if attendees have done a debrief during or following conference but remember that the task is to report on impact.

•The conference provided an opportunity for schools to network and develop collegiality. Since being at the conference lead teachers have met once to support each other with in school staff meeting development.

•XXX School - We have begun using SOLO Taxonomy for teachers to assess increased depth during inquiry and next steps for next time.

•XX School - We are using SOLO for students to evaluate their transactional writing - see http://xxschool.wikispaces.com/SOLO
